  • Patent number: 4197659
Abstract: A device is provided for drying wide textile webs, and the like, by means of a circulating, heated, gas-like treatment medium which is blown laterally across the web of material by means of jet nozzle elements having upper and lower fingers which are symmetrically arranged with respect to the web of material and extend over the total width of the textile web. The fingers of each nozzle element are provided with one common inlet opening for charging the treatment medium, and the openings for the jet nozzles are alternatively positioned on one side, and on the other side of the web, so as to ensure an even distribution of the treatment medium over the total face of the textile web, after which, the treatment medium flows off the side of the web opposite the common inlet opening.

  • Patent number: 4068709
Abstract: A device for the cleaning and heat recovery from the exhaust gases in a production installation for drying and heat treatment in the textile industry consisting of a housing having parallel double walled plates positioned with small intermediate spaces therebetween so that an exhaust air supply can be provided above the plates and exhaust below the plates and a countercurrent cooling fluid can flow through the double wall plates from below to above. This results in an improved heat exchange between the fluid and the air. In addition, a turbulance can be created by the air flowing through the device to improve the transfer and the plates can also be corrugated in further embodiments. Plates can be easily removed for cleaning by means of novel connecting devices.

  • Patent number: 3943613
Abstract: A process for the shrinking and structure development of textile webs, particularly knitted goods or webs of textured synthetic yarns and the like, comprises the steps of subjecting the web under tension-free conditions to a first combined washing or cleaning and wet-shrinking and structure development treatment, then to a combined steam- and drying- shrinking and structure development treatment, and finally subjecting the web in flat-spread or spread-controlled condition to a drying-thermofixing or shrinking- and structure development and stabilizing treatment. Apparatus for performing said process includes means for wet treatment of the web, for treatment with steam, and drying means with tension-free guidance means, and a final stabilization and fixation chamber.
