  • Patent number: 5964343
Abstract: A carrying plate (1) for beverage cans (5) which have a seamless transition between base and casing is described, can receiving portions (2) being provided on the upper side of the plate with resilient holding devices (3) for the beverage cans (5) distributed over the perimeter and protruding from the upper side of the plate. In order to create advantageous construction conditions, it is proposed that the resilient holding devices (3) should form gripping jaws (4) for resiliently pressing in the casing of a can, and that the can receiving portions (2) should have, as well as these resilient holding devices, rigid axial guide webs (8) for the beverage cans (5) to be received.

  • Patent number: 5749470
Abstract: An installation for decontaminating a radioactively contaminated surface with a dry mechanical abrasive includes an extractor for suction extraction of an extraction gas together with an abrasive/dust mixture produced during blasting. A separator separates the abrasive/dust mixture aspirated by the extractor into a dust fraction and a re-usable abrasive fraction. A storage bin is connected between the extractor and the separator. The storage bin includes a filter device having a filter for filtering the extraction gas flowing through the storage bin to the extractor, and a blowoff line to be connected to the filter device for blowing off the filter.

  • Patent number: 5177925
Abstract: A wall element consists of a ground wall with a shield that is placed on it perpendicularly and side walls extending laterally from the shield to the rear. In high walls that can be 7 meters or higher, in order to withstand the high static load that exerts force on the ground wall the side walls are formed in such a manner that their upper front surfaces are situated above the groove-shaped recesses located in the bottom surface of the ground wall, so that the load is transferred only via the side walls and prevents the side walls from collapsing.

  • Patent number: 5135331
Abstract: A covering element for covering drainage channels on sports fields provides for good surface drainage with a reduction of the danger of accidents for athletes consists of a section plate, made of aluminum, for example, which rests on shoulder surfaces of the drainage channels, and includes side support walls and water drainage slots arranged in the middle. Injury preventing edge elements are mounted with support ribs and the height of support walls and the thickness of edge elements over the support walls are about equal to the height of the upstanding edges of the drainage channels, so that water can consequently flow off well. The edge elements are made of a rubber of Shore hardness A75, so that no danger of injuries to athletes exists, and the edge elements may be colored white for the track side and green or red for the turf side of the sports field.

  • Patent number: 5080523
Abstract: Construction elements each consist of a central section and two external sections, with the central section having, in addition to flat top and bottom surfaces, two parallel side walls and four, shorter side walls arranged at angles relative to the longer side walls. Pairs of the angled side walls would intersect at right angles were they to extend to the two external sections. The two external sections are cylindrical in shape and of a height less than the height of the central section, with the remaining portion of the central section having a cylindrical wall that may be thought of as a continuation of the external section. By providing the external sections with a height less than the central section, it is possible to line up the elements adjacent to each other with the external sections of adjacent construction elements overlapping in order to form a temporary curbstone or traffic control structure.

  • Patent number: 4659247
Abstract: An edging element for playing fields and sports installations has an elongate elastic profile top and a strip for anchoring the edging element inside of the profile top in a concrete slab in interlacing relationship with a straight reinforcement rod. That anchoring strip extends along and projects from the elongate profile top and has a series of apertures distributed along at least one line parallel to the elongate profile top for receiving the reinforcement rod alternatively from different sides of the anchoring strip which is of sufficiently elastic material to form an interlacement with the straight reinforcement rod. The anchoring strip is made flat prior to its enlacement with the straight reinforcement rod but is interlaced with that straight reinforcement rod to have sections between successive apertures located alternatively at opposite sides of said straight reinforcement rod.

  • Patent number: 4521138
Abstract: A building block for walls which are laid in courses without mortar and can be stabilized by planting, has a base wall, a face wall, and two curved side walls. The base wall has rounded transition sections to the face wall and to the side walls. The block includes at least two curved dividing walls bounding a central space and two outer spaces between the side walls, with the upper edges of the face wall, of the side walls and of the dividing walls lying at least approximately in one plane. The building block is open at a rear thereof opposite the face wall, and the building block has an open top extending in the above mentioned one plane from the open rear to the face wall.

  • Patent number: 4379659
Abstract: A shaped hollow building block suitable for lining bank slopes at the ground water level has a face wall in the form of a shield standing perpendicularly to a base wall, includes on both sides a margin projecting relative to side walls and has a height greater than that of the side walls. The side walls and the base wall jointly form an elongate trough in a direction normal to the face wall. The shaped block includes two compartments separated by a transverse wall extending parallel to the face wall in the trough and includes reinforcing walls projecting outwardly from the side walls. A building block for walls which are laid in courses without mortar and can be stabilized by planting, has a face wall, two domed side walls, and a base wall having rounded transition sections to the face wall and to the side walls.

  • Patent number: 4336932
Abstract: Edging for the track inside of a sports installation consists of a plurality of individual sections (1) abutting at their interfaces, each of which has an upper header body (2) of hard polyurethane synthetic material with a longitudinal slot 2a. Each section at its lower side is connected to at least two spacer pieces (3) of soft, resilient polyurethane synthetic material which rest on a foundation and are releasably connected thereto. Between the spacer pieces (3), passages 4 enable the drainage of water. Each spacer piece (3) has at its lower side an elongate inverted U-shaped carrier rail (5) inserted in countersunk manner and laterally enclosed by spacer piece (3). The hollow space (5a) has fastened thereto an inverted U-shaped spring clip (7), the legs of which resiliently reach under the head (8a) of an attachment screw (8) inserted in the foundation.

  • Patent number: 4075751
Abstract: A hand-held tool includes a pair of oppositely-directed punch heads coupled to a pneumatic cylinder and piston rod unit by an expansion linkage. A finger-actuated lever on the tool operates a valve to supply compressed air to the cylinder and piston rod unit which actuates the linkage and drives the punch heads apart. Each punch head is provided with a tri-facial point for forming a detent in metal adjacent plastic. Part of the metal is torn at the detent and embedded in the plastic to couple the two elements together. When the lever is released, air is routed to reverse the action of the cylinder and piston rod unit.
