Abstract: A dental face-bow comprising a base part, two side arms that extend from the base part and two positioning elements, for example ear pieces for positioning the face-bow on the head of the patient. The positioning elements are situated on the side arms and can be displaced in relation to the side arms. The face-bow is also provided with a displacement device which is used to simultaneously displace the two positioning elements in relation to the side arms. To drive the positioning elements, a dial, which is situated on the base part, can be used for example to turn a flexible shaft that is rotatably mounted inside the two side arms. the two ends of the shaft are equipped with gears that co-operate with gear rods on the positioning elements. This arrangement permits the face-bow to be placed on a patient extremely gently, as there is in particular no relative displacement of the side arms.

Abstract: An auxiliary tool for an articulator having a lower part and an upper part which is connected with the lower part pivotally around a pivot axis extending transversely of the longitudinal plane of the articulator, there extending forwardly from the lower part a lower articulator arm and from the upper part an upper articulator arm, the auxiliary tool including a stand which is mountable on the inner side on the one articulator arm and has a head section on the side of which towards the other articulator arm there are arranged feeler elements for the sensing of certain surface parts on a jaw tooth model which is positioned on the other articulator arm. In order to increase the possibilities for use of the auxiliary tool, the head section has on its side towards the other articulator arm a positioning calotte.

Abstract: In a training and practice apparatus (1) for simulating and practising clinical dental processes, with a model bust (6) which has a chest part, a neck (16) and a head (7) and is swivel-mounted on a carrier (4), the head (7) is mounted on a head carrier by means of a joint (17) and can thereby be swivelled into different working positions and fixed in the adopted swivel position, the joint (17) is arranged in the neck (16), the neck (16) has an engagement recess (28) opening approximately coaxially at its bottom end and the head carrier is a bearing rod, engaging in the engagement recess, on which the joint (17) is arranged and which is mounted in the chest part.

Abstract: An artificial denture-skull for dental teaching and practice purposes, consisting of a model of an upper jaw equipped with teeth and which is arranged on an upper support plate, and a model of a lower jaw equipped with teeth which is arranged on a lower support plate, and wherein both support plates on the inner surfaces facing the dentures for the mounting of the jaw models incorporate an O-ring seating arrangement for the jaw models, against which there can be clamped the jaw models through the application of their base surface with the interposition of a clamping device extending through the support plates and which can be manipulated from the outside. For the most possibly exact simulation of the human head, the denture-skull can be also connected with a cerebral cavity-defining skull portion, as well as with a pocket-shaped covering which includes a mouth opening for the formation of a complete phantom head.

For the most possibly complete simulation of the human head, the denture-skull is also connectable with a cranial cavity-forming skull portion, as well as with a pocket-shaped covering which possesses an oral aperture.

The horizontally reciprocable holders facilitate that the mostly different kinds of implements which are positioned in the holder can be brought into a suitable nearness for gripping at the working location of the dental technician, and pursuant to need; for instance, for the creation of the free space which is necessary for carrying out any such work which is to be done without the above-mentioned implements, can be again moved away from proximity to the gripping location.

Abstract: A work position or station including a suctioning device incorporating a suctioning opening for the aspiration of suctionable material which is produced during the processing of workpieces, and a protective plate which guides the suctionable material into the suctioning opening. The protective plate concurrently screens the working personnel carrying out the processing, in particular the head of the person, against the incident suctionable material. The protective plate which is carried by a special mounting support can be moved upwardly prior to the implementing of work without the formation of suctionable material, upwardly away from the suctioning opening in a simple manner into a non-hindering inoperative position.
