Abstract: A device for manually moving or displacing sections or sheet metal includes at least one hand lever which has at one end a handle and at the other end a gripping arm connected in an articulated joint to the hand lever so as to be capable of swivelling about a transverse axis. The hand lever further has an abutment located opposite the gripping arm. Frictionally engaging tensioning elements for limiting the free swivelling capability of the gripping arm relative to the hand lever are integrated in the articulated joint between the gripping and the hand lever.

Abstract: In a medium-chain conveyor with two-part scrapers, in particular in the form of a double medium-chain conveyor, with a specific link thickness standardized, for example according to DIN, the horizontal links have a shorter pitch than the standard pitch. The side links of the chain wheel have a length corresponding to the length of the shortened horizontal links, which is shorter than the standard pitch; and that, in the area underneath the chain wheel side links, the teeth of the chain wheel are asymmetrical in the direction of rotation of the chain wheel or in the direction of travel of the chain, as a result of removing material on the toothed flank in the direction of travel and adding material to the opposing toothed flank. A substantially higher service life of the chain wheels and of those parts of the entire chain belt system in such conveyors interacting therewith is achieved by this.

Abstract: An improved magnetic bubble memory device includes a continuous propagator overlay on a sheet of magnetic material. The propagator overlay being adapted to reduce the statistical switching effects and overall coercivity of the propagator overlay. The propagator overlay consists of multiple layers of soft magnetic material being alternately arranged with non-magnetic material, in a geometric pattern specified so as to produce domain walls only internal to the pattern boundary, the soft magnetic material being chosen for its initial low coercivity characteristics and having characteristics approaching zero magneto-striction.

Abstract: A sling mounting head for use with a spacer element and mounting two members of a sling chain, has a body portion including a central section, and first and second end sections extending from the central section. The first end section is arranged to retain the spacing element. The second end section is box-shaped and includes two side walls arranged to receive the two members of a sling chain therebetween and to mount a pin for connecting the two members with each other and retaining them in the body portion. The second end portion has a bottom wall provided with an opening through which one of the two members extends. The central section, the first end section, and the side and bottom wall of the second end section together form an integral member.
