    Abstract: A traveler's security bolt for securing the door to a room or building against unauthorized entry. The security bolt engages the strike plate of a door frame and operatively abuts the door and its associated frame from the interior of the room to prevent entry. The security bolt is constructed to fit a variety of doors and frames, including frames which have decorative moldings or trim, and to protect the door and frame against damage when force is exerted against the secured door.
