  • Patent number: 11187491
Abstract: A highly concealable handheld tactical pen weapon having the appearance and aesthetics of a pen-like instrument but which contains a hinging element which allows a rear ring-like element to rotate up to almost one hundred eighty degrees to the main body of the pen. The articulating ring provides a finger hold which allows the weapon to be used more effectively in a thrusting movement.

  • Patent number: 11000113
Abstract: A firearm holster or knife sheath with an imbedded magnetic holstering locator is disclosed. A strong magnet source is positioned at a preferred insertion point of a firearm holster or knife sheath. To facilitate inserting a firearm or edged weapon in a holster or sheath, a magnet located at the insertion edge opening in each instance allows the user to more safely reholster or re-sheath either a firearm or a knife without a need to break focus on a threat. The magnetic insert attracts the leading edge of the firearm or the knife thereby allowing the user to quickly recognize the correct position to begin insertion of the firearm or the knife into the holster or sheath without the need to observe the arm movement in the process.

  • Patent number: 10913168
Abstract: A special purpose-designed combat knife to provide for passive retention of the knife without having the gripping hand fully closed. The essence of the disclosure is a handle which allows for passive retention in the user's hand. The knife uses a finger slot shape which allows retention of the handle without closing the user's hand around the handle of the knife. The user of the knife can also operate a handgun or other instrument in the same hand with the palm of the user relaxed about the handle without dropping the knife. A preferred embodiment includes a blade which protrudes from the lower end of the knife handle. An alternate embodiment includes a folding blade and locking design in which the knife blade protrudes from the top end of the handle.

  • Patent number: 9631892
Abstract: The device discloses a thrusting knife of improved design which provides for an angled handle to allow more natural thrusting movements in hand to hand combat situations. The knife is comprised of a pistol grip-like handle which is more natural for a user to hold and provide a striking action with more natural wrist position when in use. The invention is more readily adaptable by individuals already trained in fist fighting tactical pistol drawing and placement or other self defense or combat arts. An index finger opening at the interface of the pistol grip and blade provide for improved control. An alternate embodiment is configured for use with a gloved hand.

  • Patent number: 7832135
Abstract: A firearm safety lock for an automatic pistol such as the Model 1911 firearm is disclosed. The safety lock includes a means of arresting the operation of the main trigger or hammer spring in the pistol grip of the firearm to prevent movement of the hammer, thereby locking the gun in a safe condition. A means and a method is disclosed for locking a pistol in a sale condition by arresting the movement of the hammer spring buffer through insertion of a locking shaft through the pistol grip housing which can be keyed to prevent unauthorized removal of the locking shaft. The disclosed invention may be used on newly manufactured firearms or provides a method to easily convert an existing firearm without permanent modification or damage to the firearm.

  • Patent number: 6601331
Abstract: A firearm safety device for use with semiautomatic pistols and other firearms which use striker pins to activate a firing pin is disclosed. The invention uses apparatus which selectively blocks the travel or operation of the striker pin to place the firearm in a safe condition. The invention allows for the application of key lock systems to place the firearm in a safe condition and to prevent tampering by unauthorized individuals. In the operation, the safety blocking mechanism operates by preventing the striker from reaching its released position upon application of trigger pressure. The firearm is also caused to be placed in an out of battery condition when selected on and there is any attempt to pull the trigger on the firearm.
