  • Patent number: 6965184
Abstract: An apparatus (10) for supporting a winding (7) on a stator (1), in particular on a generator stator in a power station. The winding (7) has an end winding (9) which is supported axially on the core (2) of the stator (1) via winding supports (11) of the supporting apparatus (10). The winding supports (11) are supported on the end winding (9) via a stressing device (22), at right angles to an envelope surface (21). • Patent number: 4771229
Abstract: In a circuit arrangement for automatic connection of a remote feed current path of a remote feed loop fed from both sides for electrical loads with direct current series feed, a parallel circuit of a first four-terminal network comprising two feed outputs and a second four-terminal network containing a connecting two-terminal network, controllable by current sensors, is provided for the acquisition of a feed output per remote feed current path, this being undertaken by way of diode current branches. The circuit arrangement can advantageously be employed for the remote feed of regenerators and communications transmission links.

  • Patent number: 4562401
Abstract: Circuit arrangement for fault locating in conjunction with equipment for the trunk feeding of electrical loads by means of dc series feeding in which the trunk supply circuit is equipped with cross branches conducting only for currents in the direction of a test current. In such a circuit arrangement it is possible to indicate the results of the fault locating in a simple manner. Towards this end, one window discriminator for each load is provided in the supply point. This circuit arrangement can be used advantageously in communications equipment having trunk fed waystations.

  • Patent number: 4507568
Abstract: For remote feed of a group of electrical users connected in series in a closed loop, a dc voltage is applied to the loop in a polarity opposite to a normal feed voltage in order to determine whether interruptions are present, even if a human body is shunting the loop at the interruption. Each of the users has a diode connected in parallel to its inputs which is polarized such that when the test voltage for creating a test current is applied, substantially only a resistance of the loop is measured exclusive of the users. A loop resistance is determined from a measurement of the test current and the loop resistance is compared to a test resistance set lower than a human body resistance. If the loop resistance is lower than the test resistance, then normal remote feed current is applied to the loop since no interruptions exist.

  • Patent number: 4489360
Abstract: A circuit for automatically closing a backup remote feed loop upon interruption of the remote feed loop of a remote feed device for supplying electrical users by means of DC series feed has a holding winding and a response winding disposed in a longitudinal arm of a switching relay, the contact of the switching relay being disposed in a cross-arm in series with a choke coil. The relay operates with a very low voltage drop at the holding winding and occupies a relatively small volume. The circuit can be utilized as an auxiliary relay controlled by means of a delay circuit for selectively cutting in and cutting out the response winding of the relay, particularly in remote feed repeaters or regenerators.

  • Patent number: 4462058
Abstract: A switching device is provided for alternating current parallel remote feed for the automatic disconnection of a faulty section and connection of a fault-free section of a remote feed field. The switching apparatus enables safe continued operation in case of a field fault. To this end, the switching apparatus contains switches for disconnecting the remote feed current paths and for connecting a d.c. voltage source to the section of the remote field facing away from the alternating voltage source. The switches are controllable by the direct current emitted by the d.c. voltage source and by the alternating currents flowing in the remote feed current paths.

  • Patent number: 4459491
Abstract: A protective device for closing a remote feed loop of a remote fed device which automatically operates with interruptions and shorts occurring in the power supplies and wherein the power supplies direct current series feed and a relay with a relay contact closes the remote feed loop in the shunt arm of the circuit. With a particular circuit arrangement the voltage drop across the relay will be reduced by the invention and this is accomplished by using two partial windings connected in series relative to each other with one of the partial windings carrying remote feed current such that premagnetization of the relay occurs and wherein the shunt arm is connected to the point of connection of the two partial windings and the circuit results in that the maximum distance and number of power user stations can be utilized since minimum voltage drop occurs across the relay.

  • Patent number: 4362952
Abstract: Method and apparatus for start-up of reciprocal remote supply feeding of intermediate stations utilizing DC current series feeding. In the operation of remote feeding systems of this type, the switch-on operation for reasons of safety for the individuals, must be accomplished only after testing the remote feeding circuit for freedom of faults. For this purpose the invention provides a test current circuit delivered by one feed circuit which triggers a transmission and delivery of a remote feed current in the other feed circuit which in turn causes in the first feed circuit a change-over switch to operate to switch from test current to remote feed current. The apparatus and method is particularly suitable for the remote feeding of intermediate amplifiers in transmission line sections of communication engineering systems.

  • Patent number: 4309577
Abstract: A circuit closes a remote feed loop of a series-supplied repeater in a communications channel, in the event of an interruption in the transmission line, by means of a relay which senses an interruption in the feed current to close a shunt circuit. The shunt circuit includes a resistance which is initially high, to promote rapid restoration of the communications circuit, and afterwards is lowered to minimize losses and to promote personal safety.
