A little tube permits the discharge of the oil separated from the refrigerating gas from the first or second portion.

Abstract: A muffler for motor compressors comprising a body closed at the lower side by a cover and provided on its frontal wall with a hole through which the refrigerating gas is sucked. The gas introduced into the interior of the body strikes against the rear wall of the body and is diverted toward two narrow passages formed by the lateral internal walls of the body and by vertical walls of an M-shaped element located internally of the body. The inclined walls of the element favor the collection of the oil which has separated from the refrigerating gas and directs it toward an inclined plane which facilitates the discharge of the oil, by gravity, through a groove made in the body of the muffler.

Abstract: A starting relay-terminal box group for hermetic motor-driven compressors applied to cooling apparatuses, composed of a base surface secured to the outer part of the container of the motor-driven compressor, a fixed cover covering a portion of the surface and forming with it a space of limited height inside which is fitted the starting relay consisting of a positive temperature coefficient resistance (PTCR) and a removable cover covering the remaining portion of the base surface and forming with it a space, also of limited height, inside which the terminal box is fitted.

The body of the muffler, preferably made of plastic material, consists of two half-shells of identical form and structure assembled in an overlapped way and turned by 180.degree. C. with respect to each other.

Abstract: Starting relay of the PTC resistor type provided on a monophase electric motor of the induction type for motorcompressors for refrigerators. This positive temperature coefficient resistor in the shape of a small cylinder is built-in on the collector of the motor feed connectors (cluster) arranged inside the container of the motorcompressor on the hermetic electrical connection fastened on the wall of the same container.

Abstract: A muffler for hermetically sealed compressors consisting of a body made of plastic material with two chambers separated by a wall and directly assembled on the compressor cylinder head by means of two lined up small tubes equipped with special sealing means. The danger that the muffler may break loose from the head and possibly rotate on its axis of vertical symmetry is thus avoided.

Abstract: A motor-compressor unit for refrigerators provided with tubes for feeding the gas from the hermetic container to the cylinder suction chamber. A main tube communicates with the suction chamber by way of the relative silencer, while two supplementary tubes communicate directly with the suction chamber. The configuration and dimensions of the main tube and supplementary tubes have been chosen to obtain a noise reduction without reducing the throughput of the induced gas.

Abstract: The invention relates to a valve system for encapsulated motor-compressor units comprising a cylinder, a piston moving with reciprocating motion in the cylinder, a valve plate which upperly closes the cylinder, and a head fixed on to the valve plate, wherein in the valve plate there are provided two delivery ports having cross-sections of different size, so as to create in the lamina valve an asymmetric elastic deformation which favors gradual impact of the valve against the valve plate at the end of the compression cycle.

Abstract: Starting relay casing of molded plastic material for a monophase motor of a motorcompressor assembly for refrigerating apparatuses, comprising a bottom wall and a side wall attached thereto, fitting within said walls, a lower contact plate having three vertexes uniformly distributed about the periphery thereof to which are attached three feet, a positive temperature coefficient resistance having a disc shape resting on said lower plate and an upper contact plate closing said casing and pressing against the upper surface of said disc, said side wall defining on the inside thereof, at a predetermined distance from said bottom wall, three ledges upon which may rest said three feet, said side wall also defining spaces therein for said feet to rest directly on said bottom wall, when said lower plate is alternatively positioned.
