  • Patent number: 11909626
Abstract: In example embodiments, a shortest path first-based isolation trace function is provided to determines what switchable elements need to be closed to stop flow of a quality to a location in an infrastructure model arranged as a network. The shortest path first-based isolation trace function may perform shortest-path traces from the location to each source. For each successful shortest-path trace finding one or more switchable elements, the first switchable element encountered on the path of the trace is added to a solution set, and marked as active to prevent further traversal in subsequent shortest-path traces. When all the shortest-path traces are complete, the solution set may be returned as a result. If no switchable element is found on a path of one of the shortest-path traces, it may be concluded that the location cannot be isolated and such conclusion returned as the result instead of the solution set.

  • Patent number: 11822862
Abstract: Techniques are provided for generating score(s) and/or correction(s) for a digital twin representing a utility network. One or more bridges transform data, from a plurality of system and associated with a utility network, to a different format, e.g., relational database format. A process generates a digital twin of the utility network utilizing the data in the different format. A data quality service (DQS) performs evaluations and/or analyses of the digital twin to generate a baseline score and an updated score representing a state of the digital twin if corrections are applied. If the updated score meets or is above a threshold value, the DQS automatically applies and save the corrections to the digital twin. If the updated score does not meet the threshold value, the DQS presents a failure notification and one or more graphical representations of the utility network such that incremental corrections can be made.

  • Patent number: 6823299
Abstract: A computer-implemented graphics system defines an object-oriented framework for describing three-dimensional (3D) graphical objects, systems, and simulations. A 3D graphical image, a system, and a simulation are implemented as a directed multi-graph that includes a plurality of components defined by nodes connected by edges. A directed multi-graph engine in a graphics computer program processes the directed multi-graphs, wherein each node in the graph performs some specific function and the edges define relationships between the nodes. There are no restrictions on node types, and thus nodes may represent graphic objects (a visual representation), rules (rule-base behavior), attributes (data that does not affect the fundamental definition of the object), properties (data that affects the fundamental definition of the object), behaviors (methods), finite state machines (a sequence of actions and states), and any other user-defined component.

  • Patent number: 6646641
Abstract: In graphics systems, objects are manipulated and placed by users. Some systems aid the user in placing objects by providing interesting points or relevant geometric data for the objects. Objects may have manipulation or behavioral constraints that limit the placement of the object with respect to other objects. Such behavioral constraints may be associated with the relevant geometric data and may be created by the interaction between two objects. Embodiments of the invention simplify or filter objects. Simplification and filtering provide a replacement or temporary object that is not as mathematically complex with fewer geometric data, attributes, and behavioral constraints. The simplification of an object evaluates the definition of the geometry of an object to obtain a simpler geometrical object that is not as complex. The filtering of an object filters the object based on varying criteria.

  • Patent number: RE39950
Abstract: A presumptive mode computer aided design and drafting system for interactively manipulating and displaying graphic objects that employ predefined rules to govern the geometric layout and logical relationships representing a physical design, schematic or process flow diagram. The system is configured to comply with the rules employed by various design disciplines. Specific interactive computer graphics behavior is dynamically accessed to interactively update graphic object relationships according to rules of geometric conduct. The rules of geometric conduct may be stored in external databases along with parameters to verify the logical relationships of the graphic objects used in the drawing. Object orientation is employed in the software design of the system to allow new devcies or procedures to adopt the behavior of existing definitions. In the preferred embodiment, a selected object floats with a cursor in a graphic environment until located in proximity with underlying graphic objects.
