Abstract: A cardiac lead is provided that includes a connector for coupling to a cardiac stimulator and a first flexible insulating sleeve coupled to the connector. A second flexible insulating sleeve is coupled to the connector and has a portion positioned inside the first flexible insulating sleeve. A first conductor wire is provided that has at least a first loop and a second loop. The first and second loops are positioned between the portion of the second flexible insulating sleeve and the first insulating sleeve. A second conductor wire is provided that has a third loop. The third loop is positioned between the portion of the second flexible insulating sleeve and the first insulating sleeve. The first and second conductor wires are spiraled together so that the third loop is positioned between the first and second loops. The lead provides for the union of two conductors in a flexible structure that facilitates passage of a highly curved stylet.

An inner crimp sleeve is coupled to the insulating sleeve and an outer crimp sleeve crimped around the inner crimp sleeve. A first conductor wire is provided that has at least a first loop and a second loop. A second conductor wire is provided that has a third loop. The first and second conductor wires are spiraled together so that the third loop is positioned between the first and second loops and is crimped between the inner crimp sleeve and the outer crimp sleeve. The arrangement eases the passage of a stylet past the union of two wires, reducing the potential for stylet buckling. An aperture is provided in the outer crimp sleeve.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a stop-cock valve useable in conjunction with a fluid delivery set for delivering fluids such as intravenous fluids or enteral fluids from one or more containers to a patient. The valve includes a shear-away interference member which holds the valve in a closed position prior to use in order to prevent accidental premature free flow of fluid therethrough. The valve also includes a venting passage for allowing access of sterilization gas into all fluid flow passages of the valve even when the valve stem is rotated to a closed position.
