Abstract: A method for transmitting a presence map of mobile terminals connected via a communication session to a mobile network covering a plurality of location areas. The method includes: obtaining information relating to existence of at least one special area from among the plurality of location areas and with which a special session-processing rule is associated; iteratively updating a presence map associating location area identifiers with terminal identifiers, including: collecting location information of a terminal, including a location area identifier of the terminal; searching the area information for existence of a special area that corresponds to the location area; and, when the special area exists, adding the terminal identifier and the location area identifier to the terminal presence map; and transmitting the terminal presence map to a device of the mobile network capable of applying a session-processing rule to a terminal in accordance with at least the location area thereof.

Abstract: A method is disclosed of managing the reporting of the presence of a communications terminal in a communication network including a control rules application entity able to implement a presence reporting mechanism and a credits management entity configured to transmit a request for subscription to the presence reporting mechanism to the control rules application entity. The method includes verifying, during the establishment of a communication session between the terminal and a packet communication network, involving a control entity providing control rules to the control rules application entity, that the control entity is configured to trigger a subscription to the presence reporting mechanism with the control rules application entity.

Abstract: A method for establishing at least one control rule for a communication session between a packet communication network and a mobile terminal linked to a mobile network, referred to as a user session, which is carried by a connection between the mobile terminal and a gateway of the mobile network. The gateway is connected to the packet communication network, and a control session is carried by a connection between the gateway and a control entity of the mobile network. The method is implemented by the control entity.

Abstract: A technique is provided for communication between a client entity and a packet mode data network by way of a communication network implementing control and metering mechanisms. A method implemented by an entity for controlling rules includes the following acts: receiving from a rules application entity a request to open a control session relating to a communication session between a client entity and the data network; ordering this application entity to associate for the session with at least one application level message received from the client entity at least one information item relating to a resources control function, intended to be used by an application entity situated in the data network to implement a command of resources for this session.
