  • Publication number: 20240113393
Abstract: A lithium cell for a lithium metal battery includes: an electrolyte material; a cathode structure arranged on one side of the electrolyte material, the cathode structure including a cathode electrode and a cathode current collector; and an anode structure arranged on an opposite side of the electrolyte material from the cathode structure. The anode structure includes: an anode current collector; a lithium metal anode arranged on a side of the anode current collector arranged facing the electrolyte material; and a protective coating deposited on a surface of the lithium metal anode and arranged facing the electrolyte material, wherein the protective coating extends beyond the lithium metal anode and onto the anode current collector so as to seal both a surface and edge regions of the lithium metal anode from contact with a liquid electrolyte of the electrolyte material.

  • Publication number: 20120211930
Abstract: The various embodiments herein provide a multistage impulse absorber having an impulse conveying plate attached with an impulse conveying shaft positioned over an impulse absorber main body provided with several guide parts, pins and springs. The impulse conveying shaft has stair like structures so that a received impulse is divided into vertical and horizontal forces by the stair like structures and pins. Several bolts are connected to one end of the springs. The high impulses received by the impulse conveying plate are converted into low impulses along each axis by transferring the high impulses through the impulse conveying shaft. The converted low impulse along each axis is divided into three dimensional impulses based on an optimal gradient surface angle determined in the impulse conveying shaft. The three dimensional impulses are damped by the absorber body using a computing algorithm.

  • Patent number: 6623230
Abstract: A double seam forming apparatus for applying end units to can bodies includes a can seamer (12) with a seaming cam (46). Seaming cam (46) includes a high dwell portion (56) which deforms responsive to force encounterred by tooling during forming of a can seam. A reinforcing pin (72) limits deformation of the high dwell portion to prevent damage. The high dwell portion of the cam includes a force sensor (20) which generates a signal responsive to strain of the high dwell portion due to applied force. The apparatus further includes a monitor apparatus (28). The monitor apparatus includes a controller (30) which includes a processor and a data store (32), and a host station (38). The monitor apparatus is operative to identify seam fault conditions and to store data concerning seamer conditions. The monitor apparatus also operates a can ejector (26) to divert cans identified as having defective seams.
