Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method for non-holographic virtual teleportation of one or more remote objects to a designated three-dimensional space around a user in realtime. This is achieved by using a plurality of participating teleportation terminals, located at geographically diverse locations, that capture the RGB and depth data of their respective environments, extract RGB images of target objects from their corresponding environment, and transmit the alpha channeled object images via Internet for integration into a single composite scene in which layers of computer graphics are added in the foreground and in the background. The invention thus creates a virtual 3D space around a user in which almost anything imaginable can be virtually teleported for user interaction.

Abstract: This invention discloses a real time chroma keying method of eliminating the need for a large and bulky monochromatic screen background in a live non-studio outdoor or indoor setting by creating computer-generated virtual or soft chroma keying layers. More particularly the invention relates to a live portable hybrid chroma keying technique that programmatically generates a contiguous chroma for keying in multiple layers of computer-generated graphics as background and foreground of a scene in real time. The invention is particularly useful in creating HD quality special effects video footage of consumers on-the-fly for use in entertainment, advertainment, advertising campaigns, immersive gaming and related industries; and can be implemented in almost any location whether it is high-footfall public place, such as mall, airport, bus or train transit station, conference, trade show, library, museum, amusement park or some such social venue, or even in living room or home theatre of a private home.

Abstract: The invention discloses an apparatus and system for establishing an Augmented Reality (AR) Kiosk (ARK) in public places or social venues such as, shopping mall, public transportation terminal, hotel, trade show, conference, convention center, expo, museum, library, college/university campus, amusement park, etc. Categories of ARKs disclosed include, Public and Private ARK, Web and Mobile Ark and their variants. ARK deploys a camera to capture, in real time, user's physical world environment, augments camera view by overlaying one or more layers of contextual computer-generated virtual content, and allows user/users to interact with the virtual content by positioning at a predefined spot in front of a digital display and the camera. Such interaction is recorded in real time, requiring zero post-production time, as composite media file, personalized with recipient's credentials, and instantly sent via Internet to one or more user specified destinations for future use and sharing with friends and family.
