Publication number: 20250059481Abstract: A method and system for making mugwort infused alcohol by providing a mugwort herb and an alcohol, and implementing infusion through a soaking technique, a steeping technique, and a mixing technique of the mugwort herb into the alcohol. The method further includes developing timelines for each of the soaking, steeping, and mixing techniques as well as testing an efficacy of the resultant admixture.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 14, 2024Publication date: February 20, 2025Inventor: Ali Khan

Publication number: 20240242228Abstract: A method includes generating a user interface that allows a user to select an action including at least one of rejecting the incoming cryptographic currency transaction, accepting the incoming cryptographic currency transaction, or holding the incoming cryptographic currency transaction. The method includes receiving, via the user interface, a selection by the user. The method also includes performing the action associated with the selection by the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 12, 2024Publication date: July 18, 2024Inventor: Ali Khan

Patent number: 10963687Abstract: The technology includes an example method for parsing data to determine corollary objects and adapt attributes of the corollary objects using the data. In some implementations, the method may include receiving one or more images, performing text recognition to determine recognized text in the one or more images, and determining data cells containing information associated with a first item. The method may then classify one or more of the determined data cells, and may identify key cells in the determined data cells based on the classification of the one or more determined data cells. Correlations between information contained in the key cells and a second item, the second item including an interchangeable item to the first item may be determined, and the method may adjust attributes associated with the second item based on defined parameters and the recognized text.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2018Date of Patent: March 30, 2021Assignee: Staples, Inc.Inventors: Joseph James Williams, Mary Kathleen Dempsey, Olga Bazhenova, Neil Eric Ringel, Kevin George Hammer, Mats Jonas Assar Kristensson, Derek John Kania, Faisal Shafait, Muhammad Ali Shahzad, Ali Khan, Nancy Dou

Publication number: 20180333141Abstract: Ultrasound's value in the neurosurgical operating room is maximized when fused with pre-operative images, The disclosed system enables real-time multimodal image fusion by estimating the ultrasound's pose with use of an image-based registration constrained by sensor measurements and pre-operative image data. Once the ultrasound data is collected and viewed, it can be used to update the pre-operative image, and make changes to the pre-operative plan. If a surgical navigation system is available for integration, the system has the capacity to produce a 3D ultrasound volume, probe-to-tracker calibration, as well as an optical-to-patient registration. This 3D ultrasound volume, and optical-to-patient registration can be updated with conventional deformable registration algorithms and tracked ultrasound data from the surgical navigation system.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 19, 2015Publication date: November 22, 2018Inventors: Utsav PARDASANI, Ali KHAN

Patent number: 8751293Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for delivering contextual advertising to a vehicle. An example system may include a profiler module executed by an onboard computing device of the vehicle, and configured to aggregate vehicle event data from a plurality of vehicle-based event sources, and to develop user profile data based on the vehicle event data. A communication agent may also be executed by the onboard computing device, and configured to transmit the user profile data to an advertising service executed on an advertising server via a communication network. The communication agent may also be configured to retrieve an advertisement from the advertising service. The advertisement may be selected based on content of the user profile data. The system may also include an interface module executed by the onboard computing device, and configured to present the advertisement via a display, and/or speaker associated with the onboard computing device.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 2009Date of Patent: June 10, 2014Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Martin Hall, Ali Khan, Mark McNulty, Zhangwei Xu

Patent number: 8656473Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for linking a web identity and a portable device to provide web access to a user from a vehicle. An example system includes a presence agent that may be configured to validate the presence of the portable device in the vehicle by recognizing a device identifier saved on the portable device. After the presence of the portable device is validated, a security manager may receive a user identifier, and verify if the user identifier corresponds with a known user value. Then, the security manager may send a user identity secure proxy to a credential manager. The credential manager may be configured to receive the user identity secure proxy, and in response, pass one or more credentials to a computing device onboard the vehicle. The credentials may indicate that the user is authorized to access one or more web services from the computing device.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 2009Date of Patent: February 18, 2014Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Martin Hall, Ali Khan, Mark McNulty, Zhangwei Xu

Patent number: 8311732Abstract: A navigation device includes a communication subsystem and a navigation subsystem. The communication subsystem communicates with a remote navigation database via a gateway using variable-size data payloads. Each variable-size data payload is accompanied by a content-identifier and a size-identifier. The navigation subsystem determines a current position of the navigation device and encodes the current position of the navigation device as one or more position payloads that are sent from the communication subsystem to the remote navigation database via the gateway. Each position payload is sent with an accompanying content-identifier and size-identifier.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 2008Date of Patent: November 13, 2012Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Ali Khan, Zhangwei Xu, Alexander Bussmann, Dhiresh Kumar, Gaurav Singhal, Martin H.
