Abstract: A computer-implemented method for training a machine-learning network includes receiving an input data from a sensor, wherein the input data includes a perturbation, wherein the input data is indicative of image, radar, sonar, or sound information, obtain a worst-case bound on a classification error and loss for perturbed versions of the input data, utilizing at least bounding of one or more hidden layer values, in response to the input data, train a classifier, wherein the classifier includes a plurality of classes, including an additional abstain class, wherein the abstain class is determined in response to at least bounding the input data, outputting a classification in response to the input data, and output a trained classifier configured to detect the additional abstain class in response to the input data classifier with a plurality of classes, including an additional abstain class.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to new premium retail disposable packaging systems. In particular, the packaging systems of the present invention offer a secondary/supplementary compartment with opening facial angles positioned through an inversion hinge at a supplementary pairing angle to one of the primary compartment containment side-walls. Such designed packaging systems offer a premium appearance that is more appealing to the consumer by separating additional components (such as utensils or condiments), and orienting the supplementary compartment behind/underneath the product for display, as well as reducing the potential for contamination of a product with potentially non-sanitized additional components. In specific embodiments, this packaging system may be positioned in a standing orientation to further increase the premium nature of the product displayed.

Abstract: A product display platform for use in the packaging and display of a food or other product is disclosed. The product display platform is comprised of a base panel having a peripheral edge defining a central area for receiving a product and a sidewall downwardly depending from the peripheral edge of the base panel, the sidewall being generally continuous around the perimeter of the base panel. In some embodiments the base panel is formed with a textured pattern to enhance the packaging/storing of the product, especially for food products, and also provides aesthetic appeal. In use, a protective film arranged over top of and around the product and product display platform is subject to a heat shrink wrapping process allowing the product arranged on the base panel to be fully viewable when arranged on the corresponding product display platform.

The collapsible core includes a center core pin and a core sleeve about the core pin and with the core pin having a small plurality of alternating, uniform, narrow, non-collapsing segments secured to the center pin and the same plurality of uniform, alternating, wider, arcuate, collapsing segments secured to the core sleeve, the wide collapsible segments adapted to move between the non-collapsed segments to form the expanded position for a molding operation where the wide segments are separated by the narrower segments, and a collapsed position where the collapsible segments collapse radially inward on the axial withdrawal of the center pin to form a generally cylindrical, cross section, arcuate area and to permit the ejection of a small molded plastic article from the mold.
