Abstract: A gear motor comprises a brushless electric motor, a planetary reduction gear, and an output shaft rotationally connected to the planetary reduction gear, the electric motor comprising a stator and a rotor inside the stator. The rotor can be rotated about a longitudinal axis by the rotor. The reduction gear is housed at least partially inside the rotor and comprises at least one first sun gear, at least one first planet gear engaging with the first sun gear, and an outer ring gear inside the rotor and engaged by the first planet gear. The first sun gear and the first planet gear are driven in rotation by the rotor. The gear motor comprises a centring spindle extending along the longitudinal axis and passing through the stator and the rotor, and guiding the rotation of the rotor, the first sun gear and the first planet gear, and the output shaft.

Abstract: A rotating electrical machine to be connected to a polyphase power grid, having: a polyphase synchronous motor including a rotor with permanent magnets and a polyphase asynchronous motor axially coupled together, and a switching system arranged so as to electrically connect the asynchronous motor to the grid during the machine starting phase in order to bring the synchronous motor to a speed that enables the motor to operate while connected directly to the grid, and to electrically connect the synchronous motor to the grid during a subsequent phase.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of powering a single-phase asynchronous electric motor, comprising first and second windings, in which method one of the windings is powered by AC mains while the other winding is powered by an inverter that receives a rectified voltage from the mains and that is controlled in such a manner that said second winding is powered with a voltage of waveform that is offset relative to that from the mains.
