  • Patent number: 5497166
Abstract: A dual frequency batwing antenna includes a larger batwing with smaller UHF batwings located in substantially the same plane but within a vacant space provided by the larger batwing. The smaller batwings are also co-linear so there is no inductive coupling. Thus a pair of radio frequency signals are radiated from a common aperture.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: March 5, 1996
    Inventor: Ali R. Mahnad
  • Patent number: 5418506
Abstract: A triaxial transmission line provides for the transmission of two independent signals from a transmitter to an antenna utilizing the middle conductor as a portion of the coaxial line for both signals. One signal utilizes the inner and middle conductor and the second signal the outer and middle conductor. The outer conductor at both ends of the triaxial transmission is line is shorted to the middle conductor.

  • Patent number: 5414437
Abstract: A dual frequency slot type antenna with slots providing donut-type radiating patterns on a verticals mast at a first frequency and having a null area between the vertically located slots where an additional collar is placed to provide for the transmission of a second frequency which is generally of the same UHF range as the first.

  • Patent number: 5103238
Abstract: An omnidirectional antenna provides circular and elliptically polarized electromagnetic waves. The antenna constitutes first and second elements as the only radiating portions of the antenna. Each element has an elongated central portion parallel to each other, with ends bent at a predetermined slant angle above and below horizontal planes running through the central portions, and then with the ends themselves being at acute angles with respect to the central portion. The acute angles of the second element are in opposite orientation to the first. A proper balun is provided for driving the antenna.

  • Patent number: 4668956
Abstract: A broadband cup antenna comprises dipole means having at least one pair of short spiral type monopoles diametrically disposed in a common plane in proximity to the open end of the cup. Parasitic elements are in juxtaposition with the monopoles and are electrically connected by a conductive ring mounted about coaxial lines. A circumferential slot formed in the outer conductor of the coaxial line adjacent to the monopoles serves for excitation of the monopole elements to effectuate signal transmission.
