    Abstract: A side insertion trap for cable or wire includes a base and two arms extending from the base to define an opening between the arms for permitting lateral insertion of a cable or wire between the arms. A retention member, such as one or more angled teeth, serves to inhibit motion of the wire or cable between the arms in a direction perpendicular to a lateral insertion direction.
