Publication number: 20240069010Abstract: The present disclosure describes a high-throughput methodology for rapid and highly personalized screenings to identify efficacious anti-tumor immunotherapy regiments. In one embodiment, therapeutic agents or a combination thereof are screened by co-culturing tumor shaped organoid extrudates with a population of immune cells taken from the same patient. Reduced tumor cell functions or increased immune cell functions in the presence of the therapeutic agents or combination thereof would identify the therapeutic agents or combination thereof for treating the tumor in the patient.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 7, 2021Publication date: February 29, 2024Applicant: The Regents of the University of CaliforniaInventors: Alice SORAGNI, Peyton John TEBON, Luda LIN, Nasrin TAVANAIE, Bowen WANG

Patent number: 11299443Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for oligomerization of olefins to distillate boiling range products while also recycling naphtha boiling range olefins as part of the feed. By performing the olefin oligomerization while also recycling naphtha boiling range olefins, it has been discovered that the resulting distillate boiling range products can have an unexpected improvement in diesel combustion quality, such as an unexpected improvement in cetane rating. In order to manage coke formation and maintain consistent activity profile for the oligomerization catalyst, the reaction can be performed in a moving bed reactor. Additional temperature control can be maintained by the recycling of the naphtha boiling range portions of the oligomerization product back to the reactor.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2020Date of Patent: April 12, 2022Assignee: ExxonMobil Research and Engineering CompanyInventors: Arsam Behkish, Lei Zhang, Brandon J. O'Neill, Mark A. Deimund, Alice Lin

Publication number: 20030105686Abstract: This disclosure relates to a specific, illustrative apparatus, system and method for transmitting tax related data to a selected financial institution, reporting the data and remitting funds corresponding to the data, over an interactive communications network, to a selected government authority. The system comprises a first function for receiving an XML-based transaction request from a program controlled tax computation system. This function also verifies the validity of the request and replies to the system with an XML-based response, preferably including a transaction identifier. A second function, desirably modular in form, verifies the validity of the XML form request from the tax computation system. It also stores such valid transaction request in a database. Next, a third function transforms the request into a master XML-based request and stores the master request in the database. A fourth function then notifies an authorized third party, i.e.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 26, 2001Publication date: June 5, 2003Inventors: Hong Michael Dang, Hwei-Hwa Alice Lin, Martin Trostel, Kooi Karl Yap

Publication number: 20030101113Abstract: This disclosure relates to a specific, illustrative multilayer architecture for a program controlled system for providing services relating to financial data computation, report remittance and funds transfer over an interactive communications network. The system comprises a subscriber server for hosting a virtual portal having at least one application for providing e-content to end users, the application including a network browser for accessing, displaying and transmitting data over the network. A first service provider server allows a system administrator to access the system remotely. A first security system protects the system from entry of unwanted data during data transfer over the network between the subscriber and service provider servers and the interactive communications network level. Also provided are plurality of primary servers including a primary network server, a primary tax computation server, a primary report generation server and a primary tax remittance server.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 26, 2001Publication date: May 29, 2003Inventors: Hong M.
