  • Publication number: 20040125184
Abstract: A method of creating high-speed multi-color process images. The method includes providing at least two high operating frequency printheads which are capable of processing phase-change inks, providing at least two phase-change inks, providing a substrate, activating the printheads such that at least two inks pass therethrough, and passing the substrate under the printheads at a rate of at least about 1000 feet per minute so as at least one process image is formed on the substrate. The present invention also includes a process for achieving high-speed crockfast process printing on a material with phase-change ink.

  • Patent number: 6503977
Abstract: A wide array of textile fabric substrates can be treated to improve the colorfastness and washfastness of ink jet ink formulations. The aqueous treatment formulations include between about 5-95% cationic polymers or copolymers, and between about 5-20% fabric softeners. Additionally, the formulations may also include between about 0-80% of a polymeric latex binder so as to increase washfastness. These percentages are based on a conventional measurement for solids content.

  • Publication number: 20020087129
Abstract: The present invention relates to articles, such as a personal care product, having (i) a topsheet having a body-facing surface, said topsheet having a medicinal composition pattern applied to a region of the body-facing surface of the topsheet in an effective amount and wherein said pattern comprises individual segments having at least one dimension less than about 4 millimeters (extending in the MD and CD plane); and (ii) an absorbent material positioned adjacent the topsheet. In a further aspect, the article may further include a backsheet, which is desirably liquid-impervious, and which is positioned adjacent the absorbent material and opposite the topsheet. The present invention is also directed to a process for making said absorbent articles.
