    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for simultaneously detecting DNA of Histoplasma capsulatum and Paracoccidioides brasiliensis by means of the real-time quantitative multiplex PCR technique, based on specific probes marked with different fluorophores. This technique is applicable both in biological samples and microbiological cultures and environmental samples. Furthermore, another aspect of the invention is that a kit has been developed enabling the two micro-organisms to be detected simultaneously.
