  • Patent number: 11431369
Abstract: A multichannel transmission system which includes a calibration functionality that allows precise calibration of the frequency conversion chains and of the multiport amplifier of the system to be performed without interruption of service. The proposed calibration makes it possible to correct the defects over the entire frequency band of the system.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 7, 2019
Date of Patent: August 30, 2022
    Assignee: THALES
Inventors: Yann Oster, Aubin Michel Lecointre, Aline Briand

  • Patent number: 10581482
Abstract: A method for calibrating a radiofrequency multichannel subsystem of a telecommunications payload includes a step of generating and injecting a calibration signal at one or more input access channel injection points; a step of tapping off the injected and propagated calibration signal at tapping-off points of an access channel at output; and then a step of estimating the amplitude and/or phase differences between the internal channels of the multichannel subsystem on the basis of the calibration signal injected at input, serving as a reference, and of the extracted calibration signal or signals; and then a step of correcting the amplitude and/or phase differences by way of correction means. The injected calibration signal is a chirp signal, formed of a chirp or of a sequence of at least two identical chirps. A calibration system implements the calibration method.

  • Patent number: 10027296
Abstract: A distributed amplification device with p inputs, p outputs, p amplification paths comprises a redundant reservoir of n amplifiers including n-p back-up amplifiers, an input redundancy ring and an output redundancy ring formed by rotary switches, the input and output redundancy rings sharing the same technology. The internal amplification pathways associated with the n-p back-up amplifiers frame in an interlaced manner the internal amplification pathways associated with the p nominal amplifiers and the amplification paths of the routing configurations each pass through at least five rotary switches. The input and output redundancy rings are topologically and geometrically configured and the family of the routing configurations is chosen such that the electrical lengths of all the paths of one and the same routing configuration of the family are equal.
