    Abstract: A method and system for acquiring and transforming existing news content for display on multiple platforms and architectures. In one embodiment, capture templates are created to harvest the news content from disparate content sources on multiple platforms. The news data is extracted from the content sources using the created capture templates and a normalized data stream is generated therefrom. The normalized data stream is provided for display on the different type of platforms and may be cached for later transmission upon request.
