  • Patent number: 7609706
Abstract: A system for correlating and displaying dissimilar communication protocols is disclosed. In one embodiment, the system comprises user communication information that spans at least two dissimilar communication protocols, a first communication protocol, and a second communication protocol. The system also comprises a software code segment configured to detect correlation data identifying a first call portion associated with the first communication protocol, and configured to detect correlation data identifying a second call portion associated with the second communication protocol, where the correlation data comprises components relating to the first communication protocol and the second communication protocol, and wherein the correlation data is detected in real time.

  • Patent number: 7206393
Abstract: A data processing apparatus is coupled to receive call data records from a telephone network (4), for example an SS7 network. The apparatus (1) receives data records of different types having different formats. For each different type of data record, the apparatus (1) has a library (9, 10, 11 ) of type-specific functions associated with the particular type of data record. The apparatus (1) also has a set (8) of common functions available which contains functions that can be utilized for all types of data records, and for managing the system. Instructions are received by the apparatus (1), which indicate which type or types of data records are to be received and which functions are to be carried out on the data records. The apparatus (1) then creates a function list of the particular functions that are to be carried out before executing the particular functions on the received data records and then storing the processed records in a database (12, 13, 14).

  • Publication number: 20040160896
Abstract: A method of measuring a voice over packet (VoP) network captures and identifies at least one packet on a network as a VoP signaling packet and determines a call of interest based upon information contained in the signaling packet. The method then captures and identifies at least one additional packet as a VoP data packet, and analyzes the VoP data packet only if the VoP data packet corresponds to the call of interest.
