  • Publication number: 20140109915
Abstract: A female condom having a highly elastic resilient pouch portion is able to stretch from an original contracted configuration into an elongated configuration and then return to the original contracted configuration. The pouch may be fashioned with regular convolutions that act in a spring-like manner for biasing the condom into the contracted configuration. Elastic biasing members may be incorporated into the construction of the condom for providing or augmenting the spring-like action of the condom. The condom of the invention may include a contoured V-shaped outer frame which also may have a spring bias incorporated. The outer frame may flex so as to better retain contact with the anatomy of the female when the condom is inserted in the vagina. A retention sponge is located in the closed end of the pouch and can serve as a resilient elastic member in addition to or in place of the pouch.

  • Publication number: 20100061923
Abstract: Sodium is reacted with water to form hydrogen, sodium hydroxide and heat, and the sodium hydroxide is reacted with aluminum to produce hydrogen and sodium aluminate, while the violent nature of the reactions is modulated by employing the exothermic heat of the reactions to convert solid sodium to liquid sodium and to convert liquid water to steam. The pressurized hydrogen generated is used to drive one or more power generators which utilize pressure to generate power. The reactions take place in a reaction chamber in which a water reservoir is disposed in open communication with a main reaction chamber.

  • Publication number: 20090032029
Abstract: A condom with reduced chance of failure includes an inner pouch within an outer pouch. The inner pouch is bonded to the outer pouch adjacent to their open ends to form a sealed interstitial space between the inner and outer pouches. A lubricant is located in the interstitial space to enable the outer pouch to slide relative to the inner pouch during sexual intercourse. The outer pouch has an enlarged head area so that the outer pouch easily slides back and forth over the inner pouch and glans of the penis during intercourse. The inner pouch has a wall thickness that is less than the wall thickness of the outer pouch for increased sensitivity. The inner pouch has a narrow segment extending into a smaller bulb exerting pressure at the junction of the glans and shaft covering the entire frenulum area, thereby inhibiting premature ejaculation and reducing slippage.

  • Patent number: 6000398
Abstract: A spring on spring condom has one spring action established by the elasticity of the condom material and the spring on spring condom has another spring action established by a spring formation on the condom that is attributable to a combination of the shape of the spring formation and the elasticity of the condom material; a method for forming the condom includes the steps of providing a mold having a spring shape on the exterior of a dipping mold adjacent the end thereof and dipping the mold into an elastomeric material for forming a thin layer of material thereover that when removed from the mold will have the configuration of a spring on spring condom.

  • Patent number: 5490525
Abstract: A prophylactic device is described which is adapted to be worn by a person to prevent the transmission of disease and sperm during sexual intercourse. The device may be adapted for use by a female person or by a male person. The device includes an elongated hollow pouch which has an open end and a closed end. The pouch has a thin wall member which is flexible and elastic. A continuous flange member is attached to the open end of the pouch and extends outwardly around the opening in the pouch. Attachment means secured to the flange attaches the device to the person wearing it. The device may be in the form of a garment worn by the person.

  • Patent number: 5325871
Abstract: A female condom has a pouch with an unlubricated surface without spermicides to prevent vaginal infection and a lubricating and retention member is provided having voids therein filled with a lubricant and spermicides to lubricate the interior of the pouch when the sponge member is inserted into the pouch; the retention member includes a tip for piloting the retention member into the interior of the pouch and the retention member further includes a recessed head portion that is compressible to permit insertion of the retention member into the pouch and that is expandable to force the outer surface of the pouch against the surface of the vagina for holding the pouch against withdrawal during coitus; the recess in the head portion is located in axial alignment with an erected penis to accommodate the penis during use.

  • Patent number: 5082004
Abstract: A male prophylactic which has a tubular pouch with a closed end and an open end and an integrally formed pouch or pouches on the tubular pouch at the closed end defining a spaced pouch or pouches on the tubular pouch adjacent to the glans penis. The pouch or pouches on the tubular pouch are configured to be movable back and forth in the area of the glans penis from approximately 1/2 cm below the urethra orifice to a point approximately 2 cm approximately from the orifice. The pouch or pouches on the tubular pouch do not bind the glans penis to restrict sensitivity and allow the relative movement between the vaginal wall and glans penis to be more readily sensed, thereby stimulating the glans penis during coitus. In one embodiment, discrete pouches are spaced longitudinally along the tubular pouch. The foremost of these pouches serves to stimulate the glans penis, while the rearmost of these pouches functions to massage and stimulate the female partner's clitois during coitus.

  • Patent number: 4993431
Abstract: A prophylactic device has a planar portion that is configured to cover the perineum of the user to prevent the exchange of bodily fluids between the user and a partner. The planar portion includes a pair of spaced integrally formed, adjustably positionable thigh bands located in spaced parallelism on either side of the planar portion. A leg opening is formed between each of the thigh bands and the planar portion to accommodate the legs of a user. The bands elastically shape to the user to prevent slippage of the planar portion from an overlying conformed relationship with the perineum of a user. The planar portion includes a pouch of generally circular cross-section throughout its length for insertion into a bodily orifice. A method for manufacturing the aforesaid prophylactic device includes the steps of providing a form with a base and a shaft of circular cross-section with its root connected to the base by sloping surfaces.
