  • Patent number: 11944928
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a filter housing having a bowl and a head. The bowl is configured to house a portion of a filter cartridge. The bowl has an annular groove disposed about a rim of the bowl. The head is configured to mate with the bowl. The head includes an inlet, outlet, and a pair of levers. The inlet is to receive a flow of fluid into the filter housing. The outlet is to release the flow of fluid from the filter housing. The pair of levers are to draw the bowl partially into the head. Each lever has a first arm configured to mate with the annular groove, a second arm having a bearing surface, and a pivot disposed between the first arm and the second arm. A force upon the bearing surface urges the bowl into the head to form a seal.

  • Publication number: 20230005571
Abstract: Techniques are provided for generating an array-specific range of Tm values to be used for calling a sample in a given array positive or negative for a target nucleic acid sequence. A sample well in an array is provided with a control sample containing a control nucleic acid sequence. The control sample is amplified by thermal cycling the sample well. A Tm value for the control sample is identified and compared to an expected Tm value for the control nucleic acid sequence to calculate a relationship between the identified control Tm value and the expected control Tm value. By applying this relationship to an expected Tm value for a target nucleic acid sequence, an array-specific range of Tm values for the target nucleic acid sequence is generated and can be used for calling an experimental sample in the same array positive or negative for the target nucleic acid sequence.

  • Publication number: 20220378662
Abstract: There is provided a system for monitoring a package. The system comprises a scanning device and a dynamic display connected to the package and comprising a display. The scanning device scans the dynamic display and sends the scanned results to a server, which processes the results and sends the scanning device an update for the dynamic display. The scanning device then sends the update to the dynamic display and the dynamic display changes the display to show the update. There is also provided a system for monitoring compliance of a user with health related activities, assisting a user with compliance, encouraging a user to comply and detecting compliance.

  • Patent number: 11421527
Abstract: A system and technique for obtaining two or more distributed measurements from an optical sensing fiber deployed along a desired measuring path are disclosed. Interrogating probes from two or more different distributed measuring systems are combined and launched into the sensing fiber. Backscattered light generated in response to the combined interrogating probes is separated into portions and each portion is provided to a respective distributed measuring instrument. In this manner, distributed measurements corresponding to different parameters of interest, such as temperature and pressure, along the measuring path can be measured simultaneously using the same sensing fiber.

  • Patent number: 11227681
Abstract: There is provided a device for monitoring the use of a blister package, strip package, vial or bottle contents at a distance. A processor is connected to a compact random or quasi-random n-microphone array and is programmed to detect the sound of the content being expelled from a blister cavity, strip package, or a cap being removed from a vial or bottle. A content use data memory associated with the processor stores information relating to the expulsion or removal events. The processor is equipped with statistical means for differentiating the sound of the content being expelled, from the background noise, generating an electrical signal that is analyzed for relevance to content use events by the processor, and storing the resulting use data in memory. The processor may have an adaptive beam focussing algorithm to determine the direction of the source of the sound.

  • Patent number: 10865636
Abstract: A method includes varying a temperature of a treatment fluid. The treatment fluid is pumped into the first wellbore as part of a fluid diversion process or a fluid treatment process after the temperature of the treatment fluid is varied. A first downhole measurement is obtained in the first wellbore using a cable in the first wellbore or a first sensor coupled to the cable concurrently with or after the fluid diversion process or the fluid treatment process. An additional measurement is obtained concurrently with obtaining the first downhole measurement. The first downhole measurement and the additional measurement are combined or compared. A location where the treatment fluid is flowing through perforations in the first wellbore is determined based upon the combining or comparing the first downhole measurement and the additional measurement.

  • Patent number: 10588826
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus for monitoring compliance, facilitating automatic dispensing and childproofing strip packaged medication. In one embodiment a dispenser advances a packet, controls advancement of the packet and detects the presence and absence of the packet, including electronic circuitry for recording events. A replicate for strip package medication can have packets with an open conductive trace, each packet being rupturable at a location to interrupt conductivity of the conductive trace. When the conductive trace of one of the packets completes an external circuit, the circuit is interrupted when the packet is ruptured. In another aspect, each packet has a tuned antenna that is tuned to an external transceiver which detects the detuning of each antenna. In a method of making a replicate for strip package medication, conductive ink is printed on a surface of each packet of the replicate and longitudinal edges of the replicate are reinforced.
