  • Patent number: 12289711
Abstract: The exchange of resource allocation assistance information between a requester User Equipment (UE) and an assistant UE allows the requester to make better resource allocation decisions. The assistance information may include a blacklist, a whitelist, resource allocation information, a candidate resource set, and measurement information, for example. Both UEs may have an assistance configuration to assist in the exchange of resource allocation assistance information, that may be obtained from a third apparatus, such as a base station. The configuration may include information related to when to trigger assistance, identities of UEs, and types of assistance information, for example. The requester may, based on the assistance information received, modify a candidate resource set at a Medium Access Control (MAC) layer. The requester may, at the MAC layer, determine a configured sidelink grant for a selected destination using assistance information targeting this destination.

  • Publication number: 20250088238
Abstract: The present application is at least directed to an apparatus on a network including a non-transitory memory including instructions stored thereon for beamforming training. The apparatus also includes a processor, operably coupled to the non-transitory memory, capable of executing the instructions of monitoring a first beamforming training reference signal (BT-RS) and physical broadcast channel (PBCH) of a network node to acquire symbol timing and subframe timing, where a common part of the PBCH includes a first beam ID. The processor is also configured to execute the instructions of transmitting, to the network node, a beam ID feedback with a unique training sequence generated based on the first beam ID to establish a radio resource control (RRC) connection. The processor is further configured to execute the instructions of receiving, from the network node, a second BT-RS to perform beamforming training.

  • Publication number: 20250039887
Abstract: New radio download numerology allocation information may be obtained through master information block data, system information block data, radio resource control signals, or signals or a physical downlink numerology indication channel, and used along with a reference signal detected in a search space to obtain resource element positions in an antenna port reference signal in a resource block that belongs to a particular band slice according to a reference signal allocation scheme for a band slice numerology. A physical download control may then be decoded based upon one or more resource elements of the reference signal, allowing the connection of, e.g., an enhanced mobile broadband, massive machine type communication, or ultra-reliable/low-latency application to a communications network thereby. Alternatively, multiple physical downlink control channels may be blindly demodulated at each of a number calculated reference signal locations, and one channel selected based on passing a cyclic redundancy check.

  • Patent number: 12213209
Abstract: Multicast/Broadcast Service (MBS) for user equipments (UE) in Radio Resource Control (RRC) idle/inactive modes via signally of MBS frequency ranges and/or switching between frequency ranges as required. Bandwidth Part (BWP) operation for MBS in RRC_IDLE and RRC_INACTIVE states may be implemented using a dedicated MBS BWP or by sharing a frequency range with other operations. An MBS frequency range may be wider or narrower than an initial BWP used by a UE, for example. MBS frequency range configure may be achieved in a number of ways, such as via Control Resource Set (CORESET), search space, and/or PDCCH monitoring occasions pattern settings for MBS in RRC idle/inactive. Downlink scheduling without dynamic grant for MBS in RRC idle/inactive may include configured scheduling and/or semi-persistent scheduling. Downlink repetition for MBS in RRC idle/inactive may include PDSCH repetition and/or PDCCH repetition.
