  • Publication number: 20210153995
Abstract: Animal consumable dental hygienic device, comprising: body with an exterior surface and an interior cavity, and sized to be bitten by animal Exterior surface defines projections. Recesses extend inward from the exterior surface. Each recess has dental-hygienically active dimensions allowing a tooth to penetrate therein such that material surrounding the recess frictionally engages an outer surface of the tooth and scrapes the tooth to remove dental plaque. Projections are positioned, dimensioned, shaped and structured to be dental-hygienically active when the animal bites the body, allowing the tooth of the animal to be adjacent to at least one projection when the animal bites the body, such that a projection frictionally engages at least one of the outer surface of the tooth and gums of the animal during biting of the body by the animal.

  • Publication number: 20180243063
Abstract: Animal dental hygienic device, comprising: A hollow body having an exterior surface and an interior cavity, and being sized to fit within the mouth of the animal and to be bitten thereby. The hollow body having a plurality of apertures positioned along its exterior surface, the apertures extending from the exterior surface to the interior cavity. Each aperture having dental-hygienically active dimensions allowing an animal's tooth to penetrate through the aperture; such that (i) material surrounding the aperture frictionally engages the animal's tooth's outer surface during penetration of the aperture by the tooth, the material surrounding the aperture being of sufficient hardness to scrape the tooth's outer surface during frictional engagement to remove dental plaque, and (ii) a portion of the animal's tooth extends within the interior cavity during penetration of the aperture by the tooth.

  • Patent number: 8033828
Abstract: A device for retracting gingival tissue away from a tooth or plurality of teeth prepared to receive a dental prosthesis comprising a retraction/impression material associated with a custom impression coping to be packed into a sulcus associated with the prepared tooth, and coincidentally obtaining an impression of said tooth or teeth. The device is preferably compressible, deformably rigid, extensile and non-elastic and will not stick to the gingiva or tooth structure thereby allowing for atraumatic removal. A method of use is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20040191720
Abstract: This invention relates to apparati and methods employed by dentists to mix impression material, to deliver said impression material to the mouth and more specifically around the teeth and gums, to apply said impression material around the teeth and gums in an improved and more accurate manner, and to help withdraw said polymerized (set) impression material from around the teeth and gums. This invention relates to and methods employed by dentists to use vibration to deliver a smooth, consistent impression material below gingival tissues from around the base of a tooth and surrounding structures with minimal entrapment of air, tissue, blood etc. and maximum accuracy around gums or a tooth or teeth such as has been prepared by drilling or other means to receive a dental restoration, such as a crown or inlay, denture, or other prosthesis.
