  • Patent number: 5039137
Abstract: A soil pipe coupler. There is an annular portion formed from an elastomer having a hardness of 95 on the Shore Durometer A Scale. A ridge is formed about the portion's inner surface to be inserted between the ends of the two pipes to be coupled. A clamp means is included and clamping sleeves formed from an elastomer having a hardness of 95 on the Shore Durometer A Scale are formed integrally with the annular portion. The clamping sleeves extend axially from either side of the annular portion to overlap a length of each pipe to be joined. Each of the clamping sleeves is formed with an annular groove on the outer surface to position a clamp. The annular grooves have a ridge to support a clamp whereby the pipes to be coupled are inserted into the clamping sleeves until the pipe ends abut the ridge of the annular portion. The clamping means are tightened to shrink the clamping sleeves about the pipes to be coupled.

  • Patent number: 4538837
Abstract: An aluminum alloy pipe having a non-corrosible lining coating the interior surface thereof, and an annular sleeve formed of non-corrosible material to fit over and grip an end of the pipe, this sleeve being shaped to cover the end of the material forming the pipe and overlapping and gripping both the interior lining and the outer surface of the pipe. This sleeve fitted on the pipe end will fit within a standard pipe coupling to be gripped thereby.

  • Patent number: 4273467
Abstract: An adjustable manhole cover support. The support comprises an outer ring having a circular internal opening. Threaded members are disposed about the interior of the circular opening. An insert is dimensioned to fit within the outer ring to a depth controlled by the abutment of the insert against the threaded members. Studs engage and extend through the threaded members to abut the under surface of the insert to provide control of the depth of the insert into the outer ring and the angulation of the outer ring. The support is simple to make, easy to adjust and trouble-free in operation.

  • Patent number: 4186948
Abstract: A generally circular pipe joint clamp able to compress a flexible packer around a joint between substantially aligned pipes. The clamp comprises a plurality of plates forming a flexible shield. Each plate overlaps one neighboring plate and underlies the other neighboring plate. There is a joint in between each pair of neighboring plates except the plates at each end of the flexible shield to allow the plates to pivot relative to each other. Clamps allow a compressing force to be applied to the flexible shield.
