Abstract: A filing assembly includes a plurality of thin box-like receptacles which are open at the top for storage of paper and the like and have mechanical interlocking means on the front and back. Each receptacle has an angulated or inclined back lower wall. The thin receptacle may be arranged on a wall in a vertical stacked row. The receptacles are in overlapping face-to-face relationship with the mechanical interlocking means engaged and the lower inclined wall engages the wall and serves to tilt the receptacles outwardly and increases the visibility and accessibility of the open tops. Each receptacle in the row is supported by the preceding receptacle of the row. The interlocked receptacles may be also interlocked and placed on a horizontal surface for developing a plurality of vertically spaced horizontal receptacles.

Abstract: A cassette or similar article storage cabinet including an open frame enclosure means including opposed sides having vertically spaced horizontally positioned support flanges. One or more flexible partition members having support flanges on opposite sidewalls thereof are removably engagable with the frame to provide support action. Different sized articles can be accepted by providing one or two parallel vertically extending partition members in the frame.
