  • Patent number: 4712578
Abstract: An elongated body contains a central threaded bore in communication with opposite body ends. A plurality of transverse threaded bores of the same thread size are formed in the body at spaced locations along the longitudinal axis of the body in communication with the threaded bore. Set screws mate with the central and transverse bores for sealing those bores at selected locations to form the body into one or more manifold chambers. Fluid fittings mate with the central and transverse bores for selectively coupling the so formed chambers to one or more external fluid systems.

  • Patent number: 4657283
Abstract: A wire gripping clamp has a rubber inner tube wedged to the ends of a rigid outer tube by a set of rings, one ring at each tube end. The space between the tubes is sealed by the rings and forms a chamber, which when pressurized, compresses the inner tube wedging the rings against it. The compressed inner tube grasps an insulated wire passing therethrough without damage to the wire. The rings serve as a clamp in response to tension on the inner tube and as a guide for the wire when the wire is displaced through the device for precluding damage to the inner tube and to the wire during that relative displacement.

  • Patent number: 4548465
Abstract: A tubular member having an O-ring seal on a shoulder is locked in a panel opening with a nut. An elastomeric sleeve is bonded to an extended sleeve portion of the tubular member. Two elastomeric mirror image inserts forming one or more fiber optic cable cavities are assembled around the cables and inserted into engagement with the elastomeric sleeve internal surface. A hose clamp compresses the elastomeric sleeve against the elastomeric elements, firmly clamping the elements and the cables in place.

  • Patent number: 4493651
Abstract: A statistical teaching apparatus includes a plurality of parallel circuits selectively coupled to an operational amplifier. Each circuit is adapted to receive a component from a population being statistically evaluated. The circuits include amplifier feedback elements arranged to selectively cause the amplifier to produce an output voltage representing the value of a parameter of any selected component or the average parameter value of any selected group of components so as to permit plotting of actual parameter values of a selected subgroup and measuring the average parameter value of that subgroup.

  • Patent number: 4418576
Abstract: An evaporimeter formed of a capillary tube hydraulically coupled to a sheet of filter paper to form a capillary system establishing hydraulic continuity of liquid between the tube and the surface of the filter paper is automatically replenished with the liquid as the liquid evaporates. The rate of evaporation from the surface of the filter paper of a liquid, such as water, in the tube and filter paper is automatically measured using a photoelectric sensor as the air-liquid interface moves upwardly in the tube as the water is drawn from the tube to replace the evaporated water.
