  • Publication number: 20120108650
Abstract: The present invention provides methods of diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease including assessing the levels of certain microRNAs in a subject and comparing these to levels in subjects not exhibiting the disease. The identified measurements provide input for improved diagnoses of Alzheimer's disease as compared to certain other forms of dementias, which allows more effective treatment regimens.

Inventors: Peng Jin, Allan I. Levey, Keith Szulwach
  • Publication number: 20020086281
Abstract: Applicants have discovered that a variety of neurodegenerative diseases can be diagnosed, or screened for, by the analysis of a patient's mitochondrial metabolism, and thereby provide a screening assay for therapeutic drugs for the treatment of such neurodegenerative diseases.
