    Abstract: Apparatus for framing a portion of a fabric workpiece in an embroidery hoop, the apparatus including a mount for a hoop holder, such that when mounted on the apparatus the hoop holder holds and locates a female portion of an embroidery hoop, a workpiece holder, to spread or hold a fabric workpiece over the hoop holder, and a support assembly to orient and locate the hoop holder and a workpiece holder in position in a substantially common plane when the embroidery hoop is to be mounted on the workpiece, characterized in that the apparatus further includes an adjustment device enabling adjustment of the relative positions of the workpiece holder and the hoop holder within a substantially common plane.
