    Abstract: Techniques involving a side charging inductor and associated functionality are described. In one or more implementations, the techniques describe a mobile device that includes a housing with a first side and a second side that are not substantially parallel to one another. The first side may include an exposed face upon which the mobile device is configured to rest on a surface, and the second side may include a coil for charging a battery of the mobile device using induction.
