Abstract: A wearable drug delivery device includes an injector having a housing, a reservoir, a needle or cannula, a drive mechanism for urging drug product out of the reservoir, through the needle or cannula, and to a patient, and an activator mechanism disposed on a surface of the housing for activating the drive mechanism. An activation prevention mechanism is coupled to the injector housing and/or activation prevention mechanism to prevent inadvertent actuation of the activator mechanism.

The present invention may include a console comprising a plurality of modes for at least one physically associated surgical instrument, and a foot pedal communicatively associated with said console and suitable for varying ones of the plurality of modes. The foot pedal may include a housing comprising the communicative association, and comprising at least one potentiometer and at least two top switches for the varying of the ones of the plurality of modes, a treadle rotatably mounted within the housing and suitable for depressing the at least one potentiometer, and at least two side switches movably associated with the treadle for the varying of the ones of the plurality of modes.

Abstract: Various novel arrangements for facilitating adherence of an on-body injector onto a patient's skin and subsequently removing the injector after drug delivery has occurred. Such arrangements can include adhesive configurations that conform to body contours, adhesive configurations that include pull rings or chords, tabs, or perforated seams to facilitate one-step or two-step removal, and/or injector bodies with gripping features to facilitate manual grasping.
