  • Patent number: 11914404
Abstract: A solar tracking system comprises multiple solar panel modules forming a grid of solar panel modules, wherein the multiple solar panel modules are movable relative to a solar source independently of each other; and a control system configured to orient each of the multiple solar panel modules to the solar source independently of each other based on a performance model to optimize an energy output from the grid of solar panel modules, wherein the performance model predicts an energy output from the grid of solar panel modules based on a topography of the area containing the grid of solar panel modules and weather conditions local to each of the solar panel modules.

  • Patent number: 11874183
Abstract: Described herein is a method and system for testing a force or strain sensor in a continuous fashion. The method employs a sensor, a test fixture, a load cell, a mechanical actuator and tester hardware and software to simultaneously record signal outputs from the sensor and load cell as functions of time. The method provides time synchronization events for recording data streams between, for example, a linear ramp of the force on, or displacement of, the sensor and for extracting performance characteristics from the data in post-test processing.

  • Patent number: 7643576
Abstract: A data-signal-recovery circuit includes a flip-flop and a controller. The flip-flop has an adjustable sampling threshold, and, in response to a sampling clock, is operable to generate a recovered digital signal having a first level if an input data signal is above the threshold and having a second level if the input data signal is below the threshold. The controller is operable to adjust the threshold and phase shift of the sampling clock. Because the flip-flop has an adjustable sampling threshold, one can calibrate the flip-flop to the characteristics of the eye pattern at the flip-flop's input node.

  • Patent number: 7296085
Abstract: Handshaking is performed between a first host system and a second host system. First handshaking is performed between a host module within the first host system and a first transceiver within the first host system. The first handshaking includes passing from the first transceiver to the host module dummy information about the second host system. Second handshaking is performed between a second transceiver within the second host system and the first transceiver. The second handshaking includes obtaining, by the first transceiver from the second transceiver, first information about the second host system. Handshaking between the host module and the first transceiver is restarted. This includes passing from the first transceiver to the host module the first information about the second host system. The first information replaces the dummy information passed from the first transceiver to the host module during the first handshaking.

  • Publication number: 20040196840
Abstract: The passive measurement platform may be incorporated into a network router or used in conjunction with a network router. The passive measurement platform receives an OSI data packet, extracts the OSI Layer 3 from the OSI data packet, extracts headers from the OSI Layer 3, generates a unique packet label corresponding to the headers, generates a timestamp, and creates a data packet that includes the headers, packet label, and timestamp. The timestamp is GPS-based to minimize problems associated with frequency drift and counter overflow. Both the push and pull models of data retrieval are used to conserve network bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20040196841
Abstract: Port mirroring with filtering of information on a digital network. By replacing standard interface modules on router or switch ports with modules containing filtering hardware and a wireless link to an aggregation module, traffic of interest may be monitored. The combination of filtering on each monitored port, and communicating wirelessly with the aggregation node reduces the volume of information which must be handled, and separates it from normal network traffic.
