  • Patent number: 6951082
Abstract: A telescoping rig with an upper mast telescopingly received within a lower mast. A torque carrier is formed of an upper part suspended within the upper mast and a lower part attached to the lower mast. The lower part may be secured to the upper part when the rig is in operational position, and is movable to allow the upper mast to move into a telescoped position within the lower mast. The rig is readied for transport by disconnecting upper and lower parts of a torque carrier, moving the lower torque carrier laterally within the lower mast to allow the upper mast to telescope within the lower mast; and telescoping the upper mast within the lower mast.

  • Patent number: 6935440
Abstract: A service rig, comprising a mast, a torque carrier suspended from the mast; and a brace having a torque carrier end connected to the torque carrier for conveying torque from the torque carrier into the brace and an anchored end with a fastener for attaching the brace to a substructure at a well or the back of the service rig. When the service rig is in operation over a well and has a substructure, the anchored end of the brace is horizontally offset from a point on the substructure directly below the torque carrier end of the brace. The anchored end of the brace, when in operative position, is oriented parallel to an extension of the torque carrier. The anchored end of the brace preferably constitutes an offset extension of the torque carrier. If a substructure is not available, the torque carrier extension may be anchored to the back of the service or workover rig.

  • Patent number: 5367800
Abstract: An interchangeable display system including a mounting for a display element, the mounting including a support backing and upper, center and lower face panels mounted to the support backing and spaced forwardly of the support backing with two elongated slots extending lengthwise between the respective face display elements and which cooperates with the upper slot, and a lower mounting hook on the back of the display element cooperates with the lower slot so that the two hooks retain the display element and can slide along the respective slots to assemble and disassemble the display element in position in front of the mounting. The display element itself may have face panels separated by a slot so that a superimposed display element provided with a mounting hook on the back thereof can be mounted in front of the display element.
