  • Publication number: 20030022163
Abstract: Materials and methods are disclosed for the detection of a desired nucleic acid that contains multiple repeats of a predetermined nucleic acid target sequence, typically using nucleic acid hybridization methods. Nucleic acid hybrid detection methods can be used to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze for the presence of a desired nucleic acid. Applications of the disclosed materials and methods include the detection of nucleic acid without the need for nucleic acid amplification or isolation of a fragment containing nucleic acid target.
