  • Patent number: 4740707
Abstract: A tanning unit has a box-shaped base having top, bottom and lateral faces and a column assembly held by the base at one end and formed of a plurality of end-to-end arranged columns connected movably relative to one another. There is further provided a canopy which is secured to an opposite end of the column assembly and which is composed of a plurality of hingedly interconnected panels angularly adjustable relative to one another. Each panel supports an ultraviolet radiation source formed of a plurality of side-by-side arranged ultraviolet fluorescent tubes. The canopy has a closed position in which the panels are in a superposed relationship, with the light sources of adjoining superposed panels oriented face-to-face to one another. The tanning unit has a folded state in which the canopy is in its closed position and the columns are set in an angular position relative to one another such that the canopy is situated immediately adjacent the base in a face-to-face orientation therewith.

  • Patent number: 4077169
Abstract: An attachment is discosed for retaining a section of a repair panel within an opening defined by a portion of a hollow wall of the type constructed of modern day panels such as drywall, plasterboard, gypsumboard, and the like. The attachment comprises a body member with means on one side thereof to grip a marginal portion of the wallboard adjacent an opening configured to receive a replacement panel correspondingly configured and dimensioned to the opening. Panel support means in the form of a support seat is provided on the opposite side of the body member and configured and dimensioned such that when an attachment is secured along at least two opposed marginal portions of the wallboard adjacent the opening, the panel support means extends inwardly of the opening to support the replacement panel in nestled relation therewithin. In the preferred embodiment two attachments are positioned in adjacent relation along two opposed marginal portions of the wallboard opening.

  • Patent number: 4075924
Abstract: An anchor assembly for retaining an elongated fastener member within an opening defined by a wall portion of finite thickness and having at least one concealed side. The assembly has at least two elongated leg members of flexible material positioned in parallel relation to each other, with means connecting a pair of adjacent end portions of the leg members together. A generally elongated anchor member is positioned transversely of the leg members and attached to the opposite end portions thereof, the anchor member defining an opening generally medial of the leg members and capable of receiving an elongated fastener member for attachment therewith when the fastener member is positioned between the leg members.
