  • Patent number: 5067331
Abstract: A warp knit fabric structure formed by means of a single needle and a single guide bar made upon short hook needles of the latch or compound type in which one thread only is supplied to each needle and two, three, four or more needle wale overlaps are made at every course and only the last part of the overlap next to the guide eye forms a single knit loop on the needle of each last wale crossed, and by means of the geometrical settings of the machine knitting elements, the adjacent threads individual single needle loops, or the use of a point comb, the preceding part of each overlap is prevented from forming knit loops on the needles.

  • Patent number: 4338975
Abstract: A thread brake for a textile machine, in particular a shuttleless loom, in which weft thread lengths are withdrawn from a store disposed outside the shed, wherein interruption of weft thread take-off is carried out by displacement of a take-off roller 6 rotating at constant peripheral speed from an operative position to an end position remote from the thread 1. The device comprises at least for one brake shoe a movable holder 21 which is movable between two end positions in the direction of the gap towards a holder 21' of the other brake shoe and at least indirectly connected to the loom shaft 8 in driving relationship. The displacement of one or each holder occurs against the force of a spring 23 or 23' which in the unloaded state corresponds to a distance between the two brake shoes corresponding to thread thickness.

  • Patent number: 4284108
Abstract: A thread gripper for a textile thread having a fork-like gripping member with two rigid horns 3, 7, of which the one horn 7 forms a rigid part of the thread gripper. A cushion 5 of soft resilient material is inserted in a recess 4 in the other horn 3. This cushion 5 presses a tongue 6, in order to grip the thread 11. The thread 11 is released by pressure on the nose 9 carried on top of the tongue.

  • Patent number: 4125131
Abstract: A loom including a drive device for weaving fabric from warp yarn extending from a source over a back rest provided adjacent one end of the loom and after being woven into fabric being fed over a breast beam positioned adjacent the other end of the loom. A driven roll over which the warp is guided without slippage is disposed in front of the back rest and at least one driven delivery roller over which the woven goods is guided without slippage is disposed after the breast beam. The guide roller and the delivery roller are driven in synchronism and there is a driving connection therebetween, as well as with the main drive shaft of the loom.
