  • Patent number: 9405402
Abstract: An electronic device may include a touch screen electronic display configured to offset and/or shift the contact locations of touch implements and/or displayed content based on one or more calculated parallax values. The parallax values may be associated with the viewing angle of an operator relative to the display of the electronic device. In various embodiments, the parallax value(s) may be calculated using three-dimensional location sensors, an angle of inclination of a touch implement, and/or one or more displayed calibration objects. Parallax values may be utilized to remap contact locations by a touch implement, shift and/or offset displayed content, and/or perform other transformations as described herein. A stereoscopically displayed content may be offset such that a default display plane is coplanar with a touch surface rather than a display surface. Contacts by a finger may be remapped using portions of the contact region and/or a centroid of the contact region.

  • Patent number: 9404682
Abstract: An insulated icemaking compartment is provided in the fresh food compartment of a bottom mount refrigerator. The icemaking compartment may be integrally formed with the liner of the fresh food compartment, or alternatively, may be modular for installation anywhere in the fresh food compartment. A removable bin assembly with a front cover normally seals the icemaking compartment to maintain the temperature in the compartment. A cold air duct formed in the rear wall of the refrigerator supplies cold air from the freezer compartment to the icemaking compartment. A return air duct directs a portion of the air from the icemaking compartment back to the freezer compartment. An air vent in the icemaking compartment directs another portion of air into the fresh food compartment. A control system provides for controlling refrigerator functions in a manner that promotes energy efficiency.

  • Patent number: 9405576
Abstract: A visualization of a topology of a flow of multiple transactions is generated. A first computer system receives a current transaction initiation request from a precursory transaction. The current transaction initiation request is for an initiation of a current transaction in the first computer system, and the precursory transaction is part of a flow of other transactions that are upstream from the current transaction. The current transaction initiation request contains parameter information that holds a hop count, which identifies how many computer systems have received other transaction initiation requests in the flow of other transactions, and a transaction initiation count, which identifies how many transaction initiation requests have been transmitted in the flow of other transactions. A processor generates a visualization of a topology map of the current transaction and the other transactions based on information in the parameter information from the current transaction initiation request.

  • Patent number: 9406154
Abstract: The use of the channelized preconditioners in iterative reconstruction is disclosed. In certain embodiments, different channels correspond to different frequency sub-bands and the output of the different channels can be combined to update an image estimate used in the iterative reconstruction process. While individual channels may be relatively simple, the combined channels can represent complex spatial variant operations. The use of channelized preconditioners allows empirical adjustment of individual channels.

  • Patent number: 9406789
Abstract: A nanoscale variable resistor including a metal nanowire as an active element, a dielectric, and a gate. By selective application of a gate voltage, stochastic transitions between different conducting states, and even length, of the nanowire can be induced and with a switching time as fast as picoseconds. With an appropriate choice of dielectric, the transconductance of the device, which may also be considered an “electromechanical transistor,” is shown to significantly exceed the conductance quantum G0=2e2/h.

  • Patent number: 9406041
Abstract: A method for monitoring inventory on a shelf and apparatus for accomplishing the same. The invention describes a method for determining the number of packages on a shelf or hanger. The number of packages on a shelf or hanger are determined by detecting the presence of a package on the shelf and adding all detections together to determine the number of product on a shelf. In another embodiment, the product is identified by an identifying device such as an SKU reader. Thus, the quantity and type of product located on a shelf or hanger is known. Such information allows a store to know the type and quantity of packages needed to restock a specific shelf.

  • Patent number: 9407273
Abstract: A DLL may include a DLL training circuit that provides a feedback signal to the DLL and receives a first delay code value from the DLL that corresponds to the delay added to the feedback signal to align a leading edge transition in the feedback signal with a leading edge transition in the reference clock signal. The DLL training circuit further provides an inverted feedback signal to the DLL and receives a second delay code value from the DLL that corresponds to the delay added to the inverted feedback signal to align a leading edge transition in the inverted feedback signal with a leading edge transition in the reference clock signal. The DLL selectively adds the delay code corresponding to the temporally smaller of the first delay code value or the second delay code value to the feedback signal to align the feedback signal with the reference clock signal.
