Publication number: 20250093456Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a server device may obtain a channel frequency of a channel of a transmission-reception point (TRP), a positioning procedure for a user device being performed based on one or more positioning reference signals from the TRP over the channel. The server device may determine a first frequency-scaled filtering distance by applying a frequency-scaled filtering distance model based on the channel frequency, a nominal frequency of the TRP, a first filtering distance, and a decay parameter of the TRP. In an aspect, the first frequency-scaled filtering distance indicates that, based on one or more recorded positions of one or more access points (APs) being within the first frequency-scaled filtering distance from the TRP, the one or more recorded positions of the one or more APs are usable in the positioning procedure for the user device.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2023Publication date: March 20, 2025Inventors: Pete Allen BOYER, Joel MORRIN

Patent number: 8770908Abstract: A support structure for a tilt cylinder of a machine that controls movement of an articulating implement may include a mounting plate, vertical support plates extending outwardly from a top surface of the mounting plate, and a central and side gussets connected to the top surface of the mounting plate and to the outer sides of the vertical support plates. The gussets assist in transitioning lateral or horizontal forces on the vertical support plates to the mounting plate and the end frame of the machine to reduce fatigue cracking at the points of connection of the vertical support plates to the mounting plate. The support structure may further include first and second lower support plates having top edges spaced from each other and connected to the bottom surface of the mounting plate, and bottom edges connected to each other so that the lower support plates and the mounting plate form a triangle in cross-section to further assist in transitioning the forces to the end frame.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2011Date of Patent: July 8, 2014Assignee: Caterpillar Inc.Inventors: Xiaoming Tan, Michael Sekulich, Allen Boyer, Robert Hunter, Sameer Rishipathak

Patent number: 8195619Abstract: Systems and methods for extent reference count updates are presented. In one embodiment; a reference count update method includes: receiving an indication of new reference association with an extent of a shared storage component; generating reference count update log information for a reference count update log to indicate the new reference association with an extent of a shared storage component, wherein the altering occurs inline; forwarding a successful data update indicator to initiator of activity triggering the new reference association with the extent of the shared storage component; and updating a reference count table in accordance with the information in the reference count update log, wherein the updating is included in a background process.Type: GrantFiled: August 17, 2010Date of Patent: June 5, 2012Assignee: Symantec CorporationInventors: Sunil Kumar Tekkatte Subramanya, Pramodh Pisupati, Balemurughan Kumaresan, Charles H. Patent number: 6490313Abstract: A system optimally assigns pseudo-noise (PN) offsets in a cellular network that includes several sectors. The system sets parameters for the cellular network, determines potential interference between each of the sectors and mobile units in the cellular network based on the set parameters, and identifies constraints for each of the sectors based on the determined potential interference. The system then approximates a highest co-offset protection value for successful PN offset assignments based on the determined potential interference and the identified constraints, and selectively adjusts a sector co-offset protection value using the approximated highest co-offset protection value as a starting point to obtain optimum PN offset assignments.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 1999Date of Patent: December 3, 2002Assignee: Verizon Laboratories Inc.Inventors: Rajamani Ganesh, Pete Allen Boyer

Patent number: 6107067Abstract: A porous inorganic oxide carrier body for immobilizing living cells is prepared from inorganic oxide particles such as clay particles. The particles have an average particle size of from 0.01 to 20 microns, and the carrier body has a total pore volume of 0.05 to 1.0 cc/g and an average pore diameter of 50 to 700 .ANG., and has substantially no pore volume in the range of 800 .ANG. or greater. The carrier is prepared by forming a mixture containing the particles, a liquid medium and optional ingredients including zeolite and activated carbon, and forming the mixture into a shaped carrier body which may be optionally dried and calcined. Typical shapes of the carrier include spheres, cylinders, rings, honeycombs and shaped monoliths. Bacteria and other microorganisms immobilized on the carrier are useful for treatment of contaminated waste streams or contaminated vapors, or for other uses for which microorganisms are used such as the synthesis of chemicals.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 1998Date of Patent: August 22, 2000Assignee: W.R.
