    Abstract: The disclosure relates to an electrical trial stimulator that stores multiple applications to selectively emulate the operation of different chronically implanted stimulators. Each application corresponds to a different chronically implanted stimulator. Upon selection of a particular application, the stimulator executes a set of instructions to emulate the operation of a chronically implanted stimulator that corresponds to the application. The multi-application stimulator permits a physician to select an application for stimulation therapy, and evaluate efficacy of a particular chronically implanted stimulator. In addition, the physician may select any of the other stimulation applications to emulate other stimulators. The different stimulation applications may correspond to different stimulators that deliver a similar therapy, e.g., stimulators designed to deliver spinal cord stimulation for alleviation of chronic pain.

    Abstract: A control system for a variable stroke free piston engine, sets the ignition timing as a function of measured piston velocity. This velocity proportional ignition system provides spark advance on a stroke by stroke basis as an aid to starting the engine. Ignition changes over to a piston position based system when the engine is running at steady state. Fuel injection occurs at either piston dead point or is set as a function of piston position. Fuel injection is suppressed during cycles were the ports are not uncovered. The control system can also regulate compression ratio based upon piston position or knock sensor data. The preferred control system includes a hybrid digital analog system which includes a microprocessor.

    Abstract: The computerized time clock system includes a personal computer via which employee, job and schedule records may be assembled and maintained. A computerized time clock communicates with the personal computer and received employee and scheduling data therefrom, in order to validate and record time-in and time-out transactions executed by employees. Current time records are maintained in the memory of the time clock and at the end of each day are transmitted to the personal computer for addition to permanent disk records including a record of each time-in and time-out transaction for an extended period. Sales records may also be maintained in personal computer 20, for example the quantity of liquor or food served by a particular employee or in a particular department, which sales information may be correlated with labor costs found in the permanent time records.
