  • Publication number: 20240085558
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for adjusting a transmission field-of-view (Tx FoV). For example, the system includes a lidar sensor with a series of emitters. Each emitter is configured to transmit light pulses away from a vehicle along a transmission axis to form a transmission field-of-view (Tx FoV). At least one detector is configured to receive at least a portion of the light pulses that reflect off of an object within a reception field-of-view (Rx FoV) along a reception axis. A transmit optic is mounted for translation along a transverse axis and configured to intersect each transmission axis without intersecting the reception axis to adjust the Tx FoV without adjusting the Rx FoV.

  • Publication number: 20240068910
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are disclosed of controllers (e.g., control panels, etc.) configured to be operable for detecting cavitation using torque load and/or instantaneous fuel consumption. In exemplary embodiments, a controller is configured to be operable for monitoring at least one of engine torque load and/or engine instantaneous fuel consumption for fluctuation (e.g., significant drop/downward fluctuation in average magnitude and/or erratic, noisy, fluctuating data, etc.) indicative of pump cavitation, thereby enabling the controller to be operable for alerting to indications of pump cavitation when fluctuation of the monitored engine torque load and/or engine instantaneous fuel consumption indicate pump cavitation.

  • Publication number: 20240003694
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, non-transitory computer readable media, and methods for detecting and providing a digital notification of whether a ridership error exists. For instance, a ridership error detection system identifies a transportation match between a requestor device and a provider device. The ridership error detection system determines one or more sets of provider-requestor consistency signals from the requestor device and the provider device across ride stages. For instance, the ridership error detection system analyzes location signals, IMU signals, audio signals, local wireless signals indicating distances between the requestor device and the provider device, and other signals to determine whether a ridership error exists. The ridership error detection system provides digital notifications to the provider device and the requestor device based on the ridership error determination.

  • Patent number: 11788908
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for quantitatively measuring strain in an optical fiber. An optical source comprising an optical beam generator and a pulse generator receives instructions from a controller and generates a pulsed optical beam in response to those instructions. The pulsed optical beam is directed into an optical fiber to generate a reflected beam from scattering centers within the optical fiber. A detector records a plurality of frames of data generated by the reflected beam, and the controller tracks an evolution of a speckle pattern carried by the reflected beam from the plurality of frames and calculates a strain induced in a section of the optical fiber from the evolution of the speckle pattern.
