  • Publication number: 20040044306
Abstract: An infusion system for delivery of therapeutic fluids from a remote source into a patient's body. The system has an infusion assembly, a rotating pivot joint member, a fluid connector assembly, and a sealing assembly retained within the infusion assembly between the housing of the infusion assembly and the rotating pivot joint member. The seal reduces leakage of fluids. The rotating joint may be pivoted to three distinct positions to allow for emplacement on the patient, delivery of the therapeutic fluid to the patient, and protected, sealed closure of the fluid channels to avoid patient fluid backflow.

  • Publication number: 20030216686
Abstract: This invention relates to therapeutic infusion assemblies, more specifically a device for the subcutaneous delivery of a fluid from a remote source. Applicant provides a base assembly which has a fluid channel therein and a cannula extending vertically downward from a flat bottom. A fluid connector member which receives a fluid bearing line from the remote fluid source and the fluid connector member pivotably and removably connects to the base member. The manner of connection is “hinged” allowing the fluid connector to move from a non-use position by rotation downward to a used position. In the use position a fluid channel in the fluid connector will connect with a fluid channel in the base to provide fluid to the cannula and to the patient.

  • Patent number: 5706986
Abstract: A combined paper towel and hand soap dispenser for a public washroom includes a base that is adapted to be mounted to a surface in a public washroom, a paper towel dispensing mechanism, a hand soap dispensing mechanism, and a cover that is mounted to the base. The cover defines an interior space in which the paper towel dispensing mechanism and the hand soap dispensing mechanisms are positioned. The cover is mounted to the base so as to be movable between an open position for refilling the system with hygienic product and a closed, operative dispensing position. Water channeling structure is positioned between the base and the cover to channel water that may fall between the cover and the base away from the interior space. As a result, the dispensing mechanisms and any product therein will be prevented from getting wet during custodial cleaning.

  • Patent number: 5228598
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for diluting and dispensing fluid concentrates which comprises a frame having a least one compartment therein for insertion of a liquid holding container. Mounted within the frame is a water valve housing which is adapted to interface with a venturi housing affixed to the liquid holding container. The water valve housing has affixed thereto a valve which is manually actuated. In response to the depression or release of the actuation means, the valve is substantially either fully open or fully closed. The water valve housing includes locking means for preventing the valve from being operated by the manual actuation means when the liquid holding container is not properly inserted into the dilution station. The refill modules of the present invention include the venturi housing and liquid holding container mentioned above.

  • Patent number: 5226566
Abstract: A substantially modularized countertop mounted liquid soap dispensing system, including a delivery module comprised of a housing, a frame, a delivery spout and an actuator channel through this frame. Residing in the actuator channel is an actuator rod assembly. The lower portion of the actuator rod assembly is free. Attached to the lower portion of the frame is a canister top adapted to engage a canister for enclosing a disposable liquid soap reservoir module. The liquid soap reservoir module is substantially completely enclosed such that the liquid soap within is not exposed to the atmosphere until it is pumped from the module. The disposable reservoir module includes an enclosing top section, a lower cap and a pump affixed to the lower cap. There is a guide cylinder extending from the enclosing top section to the pump for receipt of the free end of the piston rod assembly. A flexible tube extends from the pump and is easily inserted into and withdrawn from the delivery spout.

Mounted within the frame is a water valve housing which is adapted to interface with a venturi housing affixed to the liquid holding container.
