  • Patent number: 8127800
Abstract: A flexible hose for conveying fluids and suitable for high temperature environments, in one embodiment the hose assembly comprises a thermal paint coated nipple, a core tube, a thermal insulating layer surrounding the core tube, a cover layer surrounding the thermal insulating layer, and a vented jacket surrounding the cover layer. The thermal insulating layer may be a fibrous material such as a silica fiber. The cover layer may be thermally stable up to 750° F. or higher. The vented jacket may be a wire braid having interstices therein and formed from a corrosion resistant material.

  • Patent number: 6619957
Abstract: The invention provides an ultrasonic scaler, comprising: a scaler tip, actuator material, a coil, a hand-piece housing, and an air driven electrical current generator. The actuator material, the coil and the air driven electrical current generator are enclosed by the hand-piece housing. The scaler tip is connected to the actuator material. Preferably the actuator material is [Tb0.30Dy0.70Fe1.92]. The invention provides an ultrasonic scaler including a scaler tip, actuator material, a coil, a hand-piece housing, and a frequency control circuit. The actuator material, the coil and the frequency control circuit are enclosed by the hand-piece housing. The scaler tip is connected to the actuator material.

  • Patent number: 6315565
Abstract: A tooth cleaning system having a unitary elastomeric injection molded flexible protective shield, and a nozzle having an end portion extending into the shield. The shield is connected to a source of vacuum and has an inner wall having an inner wall perimeter. The nozzle is connected to a fluid source. The fluid from the fluid source travels directly from the nozzle to less than half of the area enclosed by the perimeter. The nozzle is pivotally supported whereby the nozzle is readily repositioned to positions angularly offset from the central axis of the shield to direct fluid from the nozzle to the entire tooth surface enclosed by the perimeter of the shield. The invention provides a method of cleaning teeth including providing a flexible plastic shield positioned against a tooth surface while pressure within the chamber formed by the flexible protective shield and the tooth surface is reduced to a pressure below ambient atmospheric pressure.

  • Patent number: 4599784
Abstract: A flexible plastic conduit having a pair of longitudinally extending reinforcement tapes to improve the resistance to elongation of the flexible plastic conduit is provided. A fitting is also provided to cooperate with the flexible tubing to provide the proper resistance to forces trying to separate the flexible conduit and the fitting when in assembled relationship. A method for assembling the flexible conduit and the fitting is also provided.
