  • Publication number: 20210252833
Abstract: A composite material includes: a substrate layer; a first layer including a thermoplastic material applied to the substrate layer, the first layer having a refractive index greater than 1.2 resulting from application of at least one secondary process to the first layer; and a surface coating including a transparent polymer applied to the first layer. The surface coating has a refractive index of from 1 to 2. Methods for making the composite material and articles including the composite material are also described.

  • Patent number: 10965336
Abstract: An apparatus that facilitates one-handed use of a mobile device has a finger brace configured to brace a user's finger on each of two opposed sides of the point where it is coupled to a flexible member. The flexible member extends through a hole in the back portion of the mobile device's case and is anchored to an interior surface of the back portion of the case. The flexible member's length is such that two fingers of the user's hand can press against the finger brace to brace the mobile device when the two fingers are between the finger brace and the case.

  • Publication number: 20200329571
Abstract: An apparatus that facilitates one-handed use of a mobile device has a finger brace coupled a plurality of flexible lengths. At least one of the flexible lengths is coupled to an intermediate point of the finger brace. Each of the flexible lengths is coupled to the mobile device at its rear-facing back. At least two of the flexible lengths are coupled at opposed ends of the rear-facing back. The length of the flexible lengths and where they are coupled to the brace and mobile device are such that two fingers of the user's hand can press against the finger brace on opposed sides of the intermediate point to brace the mobile device when the two fingers are between the finger brace and the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 10772404
Abstract: A removable cover for a finger brace comprises a receiving end with an open area for receiving the finger brace within the cover and with rails to slide the cover over the finger brace. A stop bar of the cover acts as a stop for the finger brace. The cover includes a spring-loaded clip arranged across the stop bar and rotatable around a fulcrum. A protrusion/recess pair between the clip and the finger brace is normally engaged with a spring and acts as a catch when the cover is in place over the finger brace. A recess in the cover receives an end of the clip when a user presses the end against the spring force to disengage the protrusion/recess pair.
