Abstract: A counter (or recorder) for a pill dispenser comprising two relatively moveable chassis components forming part of a pill dispensement mechanism, a pill delivery or dispensement channel and a counting (or recording) mechanism. The counting (or recording) mechanism comprises one or more actuation indicators, a ratchet pawl for incrementally advancing a first of the one or more actuation indicators and a drive mechanism for activating the ratchet pawl. The ratchet pawl is mounted to a first of the two chassis components. The drive mechanism is mounted to the second of the two chassis components. The drive mechanism is connected to a pill detect feature that can move between a positive dispensement position and a negative dispensement position if the channel is clear, the negative dispensement position being such that at least a part of the pill detect feature is positioned within or blocking the pill delivery or dispensement channel.

Abstract: A fluid dispenser that includes a dosing chamber, a piston member, a fluid outlet through which fluid will be dispensed, a fluid conduit configured to convey fluid from the dosing chamber towards the fluid outlet, and a seal for sealing the fluid outlet is described.

Abstract: An inhaler is provided with a closure which may be moved between a closed and open position in order to cover and uncover a mouthpiece. The closure is associated with a revolvable element comprising a restricting member. Movement of the closure from the open position to the closed position causes the revolvable element to revolve around an axis X thereby placing the restricting member in a restricting position which restricts relative movement between a container unit and the housing such that unintentional actuation of the inhaler is prevented. The inhaler is useful, for example, in the treatment of asthma.

The actuation mechanism comprises a loading member which is fitted to the head of the canister body and includes a loading section which is located at a distance spaced from the base of the body of the canister and, in use, acted upon to drive the loading member in an actuating direction from a first, rest position to a second, actuated position in which the canister is actuated to deliver medicament.

The inhaler is useful, for example, in the treatment of asthma.
