  • Patent number: 11969929
Abstract: Described herein is a multilayer microporous film or membrane that may exhibit improved properties, including improved dielectric break down and strength, compared to prior monolayer or tri-layer microporous membranes of the same thickness. The preferred multilayer microporous membrane comprises microlayers and one or more lamination interfaces or barriers. Also disclosed is a battery separator or battery comprising one or more of the multilayer microporous films or membranes. The inventive battery and battery separator is preferably safer and more robust than batteries and battery separators using prior monolayer and tri-layer microporous membranes. Also, described herein is a method for making the multilayer microporous separators, membranes or films described herein.

  • Patent number: 7342846
Abstract: Systems and methods provide improved address decoding techniques for memory. For example, in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, an integrated circuit includes an address register that receives a reset signal, a clock signal, and an address signal and provides a registered address signal. The registered address signal provides at least a true and a complement signal, with the true and complement signal set to approximately the same logical value upon assertion of the reset signal. An address pre-decoder, coupled to the address register, at least partially decodes the registered address signal to provide a pre-decoded output signal. A wordline driver, coupled to the address pre-decoder, receives a wordline enable signal and the pre-decoded output signal and provides a wordline signal based on the pre-decoded output signal upon assertion of the wordline enable signal.

  • Patent number: 5600261
Abstract: The generation of a controlled voltage signal as a buffer control signal for an output driver provides for relatively less delay for a high output enable access for an output buffer. As the output buffer undergoes the transition from a deselected state to a selected state to generate an output signal corresponding to a high input signal, a first voltage level is generated at a node and output as the control signal for the output driver, providing for an initial pull-up transition for the output signal. A second voltage level is subsequently generated at the node and output as the control signal for the output driver, providing for a steady-state voltage level for the high output signal.

  • Patent number: 5534806
Abstract: A pull-down output device controls the discharge of an output signal for a pull-down transition. A pull-down control signal is generated in response to an input signal. A control signal is generated in response to the pull-down control signal to couple a first voltage terminal to a control signal node. The output signal is initially discharged as a bipolar transistor is turned-on by the control signal at the node and couples the output signal to a second voltage terminal. The first voltage terminal is decoupled from the control signal node as a control signal is generated to couple the output signal to the control signal node. The output signal is further discharged through the bipolar transistor. The discharge of the output signal is thus controlled.
