  • Patent number: 6953209
Abstract: A compression latch with a folding handle for selectively holding a door closed. The latch includes a housing with a cup portion for receiving the handle in the folded down position such that the projection of the latch handle above the exterior surface of the door is minimized in the folded-down position. The handle functions to move a pawl in a combination of rotational and linear translational movements as the pawl is moved between latched and unlatched positions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 24, 2002
Date of Patent: October 11, 2005

  • Patent number: 6179350
Abstract: A draw latch for attaching one member to another, such as a first panel to a second panel, is unlatched and latched by lifting the latch handle in one direction or the other about a pivot axis, which actuates a pawl member which is pivoted to engage and secure a first catch of a keeper, the handle being pivoted to be secured on a second catch of a keeper, with the pawl being latched against a spring bias provided by a keeper member. The handle is securable by a lock which locks the handle to the second catch to prevent release of the pawl from engagement with the first catch.

  • Patent number: 6178598
Abstract: An adjustable hinge assembly for swingably joining hinging panel members together, where improved mounting capability is provided, and adjustability of a pin and the hinge components in multiple directions relative to the hinging panels and to each other is provided, where a base member is mounted to a first hinging member and a pin-carrying member is connected to the base, and a base member mounted to a second hinging member and maintains an adjustable pin-receiving component thereon. Stops are provided to regulate the pivot of the members over a predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 5765263
Abstract: A door positioning hinge supports two closure members, and also allows the closure members to be rotated to open or to close. The door positioning hinge can be adapted to allow free-swinging of the closure members or alternatively to hold the closure members in various detent positions. In addition, the particular amount of force can be selected where desired which operates to hold the closure members in the respective detent positions. The operation of the door positioning hinge accommodates use with both vertically swinging or horizontally swinging closure members.
